Has a 4 cyl engine ever sounded better? I love these Fiat 131s, like a Mk2 Escort but Italian so therefore much more cool. A 131 Abarth Stradale is £50,000 these days? If I had that kind of cash lying around I would have one in the garage I certainly wouldn't waste it on some boring, bland box like an Audi A5 or similarly priced 'better' car. Maybe that is just me though : )

I used to have one and on the day I bought it [2nd hand] me and my mate drove it so hard that when we got home and bumped the high curb outside my house one of the brake pads fell out.Later that night in torrential rain we smashed off the rear bumper and got it stuck up a grass bank.It was an amazing motor with bags of torque throughout the range, but standard set suspension was treacherous when cornering hard.The needle used to stick at140 mph!!!

yes, the plus ones, are the best out of the coupes but the 5notchers are better g/boxs than the 6notchers

I agree... the Plus has very nice features, but adding 1 gear to the 5 gears of the 2.0VT was rather silly (or better, unuseful) considering the enormous torque that the car had. Cheers mate

That simply ruled. I love the way you can see very little sawwing back and forth on the wheel! The steering is often at full lock and the car is being controlled with the throttle! AWESOME! And the sound is music compared to the sneezing, wheezing, and squeaking turbo cars of today. That car sounded pissed off!
