  • (Not getting married but still). This is the song I want to dance to at my wedding as my first dance with my husband, whether he likes it or not. :)

  • i am high as fuck right now, eating gouda cheese, about to eat some vegetarian sushi, and listening to this while petting a cat.

  • I feel so ashamed to say that Barbie brought me here. But it did, and I'm happy that i could listen to this masterpiece without having to watch the moive over and over just for the music.

  • @LeahKarma99 Barbie is the same thing that brought me here, but at least it brought us to wonderful instrumental music instead of some weird rap music or something, haha. :)

  • عباقره الموسيقى

  • This touches deep in my soul!

  • Pure genuis! (:

  • The movement that begins at 5:04 is one of the most sublime, dramatic, evocative pieces of music in the classical canon ... just perfect!

  • 4:06 and 4:20 are amazing! As is the whole work.

  • ok here is one thing try to reconise how much instrument there is in this waltz

    and sorry for my spelling

  • @bournebeats First off, you have a near infinite amout of respect in my book for not freaking out when I said that. And second 0.0 well I guess he liked it to be peaceful while he worked...

  • Wow. Reading about Discord fucking up some humans and listening to this is something else...

  • @thelol1759 what do you mean? please elaborate!

  • this version is a bit fast

  • Ah, sweet ballet. Glad I was never in it. lol I'm such a tomboy. xD xD xD

  • Trumpets at 3:54 are absolutely superb. I love it when the trumpets are placed up front and audible in the Swan Lake Waltz. They're beautiful!!!!

  • I like chicken

  • i danced to this song in ballet haha

     a long time ago

  • fall in love with this

  • To understand further this masterpiece must also have a little part of Russian soul.

  • @mellowloops Not really, I'm not Russian but this touches my soul.

  • Tchaikovsky was soul himself, handcuffed by royal system, only for themselves.

  • It gives me shivers and that feeling of peace deep inside my soul simultaneously..a .truly magnificent piece of art <3

  • I hate it when conductors delete the repeats in the middle section. Thankfully, Fiedler doesn't succumb to the temptation.

  • OMG! I played this in an orchestra and I felt amazing!! It's such a lovely piece of truly art...

  • How the hell could anyone dislike this? Bloody peasants.

  • @Gryffster I pictured a pompous king in purple regalia with a drumstick in hand spitting while saying "bloody peasants". What a magnificent image.

  • @Gryffster I believe the word you're looking for is 'philistines'.

  • No, Black Swan did NOT bring me here, but lovely film, eh? And even more beautiful music! LOVE TCHAIKOVSKY!

  • Tchaikovsky the best!!

    Fuck the rest!!

    Greetings from Mexico..

  • it reminds me of my childhood :)

  • @Vubaotram117 wow,You must be very old now.

  • @jokkergar no I'm 16 :). I listened to it a lot when i was child :)

  • ΜΥ FAVORITE WALTZ FROM TCHAIKOVSKY...

  • Yesterday some one asked me to define beauty and all I had to say was Tchaikovskys Mind !

  • <3

  • Bellisisisísima pieza. Me gusta mucho el carácter de Tchaikovsky :D

  • Reminds me of my childhood ..

  • Reminds me of my childhood ..

  • Absolutely beautiful! This is what true music is like. What a masterpiece indeed!

  • Thank god after months of searching I've finally found this.

  • Looks like 7 people can't waltz...

  • Superb masterpiece!!!

  • The awesomeness of Tchaikovsky's music, including his ballets, is that they're not really associated with ballet or dance of any kind. When you really listen and THINK about what he was doing and the turbulent times of all history up to that point is that he was writing HISTORICAL music. Literally - WAR music. ALL of it. Not just his 1812 Overture. But this waltz as well.

  • You know, i can firmly agree most of the mainstream music we hear on the radio today is almost ridiculously simplistic. going as far to say its talentless, or not music at all is, well ridiculous. sure, symphonies require more time and thought, but thats whats required for the genre. to put it simple a little open mindedness is important right? coming from the guy who loves metal/hardcore. yet i love classical. weird? naw. all music is worth appreciating as long as one person enjoys the melody

  • @FromUnderOrion I think it's important to recognize that a lot of these symphonies would not exist without traditional folk music, which was ridiculously simple and yet beautiful in its own way.

I tend to look at "pop music" with that attitude. Sure a lot of it may be rubbish, but I see it as representing society and culture from the perspective of the common person. Most people aren't complex and that's why people like Tchaikovsky awe us with their perceptions of the world.

  • Attention everyone: this is real music. You can all watch your precious VMAs, or whatever else is on tonight. Give Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber and Beyonce and Jay-Z and Chris Brown all the attention you want; I'll just take more Tchaikovsky for myself!

  • @PrinceShAdE I totally do that lol. HIs music is so amazing and powerful that its hard not to. (My arm and neck are sore from all of the movement lol)

  • trust me it may seem glamorous and beautifal from afar, but those people were one in a million living in a culture of poverty and corruption, and EAP tchaiovsky and the rest were the "rihannas" and "jb's" of their time, but ill admit they were a lot more talented and glamorous than our society idols......

  • Damn, I love European culture. But alas, it is a sad time that our peoples can produce no more Tchaikovsky's or Beethoven's or Elgar's, but rather emobands, Rhianna or JLS.

    We have fallen far indeed.

  • Did I just headbang to classical music? Wow I love the emotion Tchaikovsky implies in his music

  • Dis is sooo awesum! @ my ballet studio we're gnna perform swan lake n I'm sooo excited! I've bin workin sooo hard 2 get d part of Odette. If 1 of d instructors really notices me n sees dat I'm gettin d moves done rite as dey instruct it, dey will tell me dat dey want me 2 try out 4 the part of Odette. I hav already tried out like last week n hopefully dis week dey'll tell me who got d part! N wats even more awesum is dat a guy I really like already got d part of Siegfried! :D Wish me luck!

  • @Aimeewinterfun2 maybe you should focus more on your spelling and grammar than you should your audition but good luck nonetheless

  • @Aimeewinterfun2 if the guy u like dances ballet... hes probs gay

  • @misheshe trust me!!! i've talked to him and he is NOT gay. just because guys do ballet that doesnt mean they are automatically gay. they just enjoy it and they get to dance with girls and stuff. and believe me they get a really great workout and become very flexible.....kinda like me! if he was gay....pshhh! i would know! i have a gay cheerleader friend and that guy i like is acts NOTHING like him! (: so that should be a good thing!

  • @misheshe probably not . . .

  • @misheshe

Maybe not. My ballet partner isn't.

  • despicable me! :D

  • As soon as the piece starts, I feel a sudden urge to wave my head and shoulders right and left and right rhythmically.

Right and left...right and left..right and left...right and left...

  • it's like heaven to my ears x x x

  • G.E.N.I.US

  • Θαυμάσιο!!!! - Brilliant!! - Bellissimo!!!!!

  • Wonderful. Well, I'm an amateur composer, and I admire Tchaikovsky. I'm composing a ballet, see my Pas de Deux and Waltz on my channel.

  • Wonderful. Well, I'm an amateur composer, and I admire Tchaikovsky. I'm composing a ballet, see my Pas de Deux and Waltz on my channel.

  • This is just beautiful and probably my favorite piece of classical music.

  • How can anyone dislike the classics like this. They have no taste in music. I listen to metal, but I grew to love this when I was in Jr. High and High School. This is real music at it's best

  • How must someone like Tchaikovsky feel after writing a piece like this... Must be like ... walking on the moon and knowing theres only very few people like you...

  • This has been stuck in my head all day long. I've listened to it at least 50 times today. But I can't think of a better song to be stuck in my head.

  • Tchaikovsky will always be a genius. Especially in these days, he puts the blacked eyed peas, and Justin bieber, and kesha, and lady gaga..etc. to shame. He will always be one of the greatest composers of all time.

  • my favorite composer

  • It's always funny to me that the internet is like 80% porn when I find stuff like this. God damn i love Tchaikovsky.

  • Magnificent, Graceful

  • Ive watched the Black Swan 20 times..

  • more timpani! who played this?

  • i love this waltz!!!

  • Magnificent and heavenly music!

  • He is one of the greatest composers of all time.

  • This really is the dance of Angels.

  • that picture of tchaikovsky looks so badass

  • This intrigues me. When he was living, he knew that he could directly access us, across the constraints of time and effect such an aesthetic and emotional response, This is a form of time travel. I felt his presence Pytr takes haunting to a highly respectable level, In no way do I think that this is pretentious.

    Thank you for posting this!

  • @schmutzgreiffer Learn english before you simply jot down your mental clarity. In this case, it's hued with unknown things. "When 'he' was living..." Who is he? "Directly access us, across the constraints of time..." Unneeded coma. "This is a form of time travel." How? "In no way do i think that this is pretentious." Hey buddy, get to the point. I do not think this is pretentious > In no way do i think that this is pretentious. You ignorant child. Your grammar and form of language appalls me.

  • @tonkerdoodle Ummm...Tonkerdoodle, I don't know what Schmutgreiffer meant, but I do know that it ill behooves someone who doesn't capitalize "English" or "I," spells "comma" with one "m," and uses the singular "appalls" with the plural subject "grammar and form" to criticize another person's grammar.

  • @Versipelles You have no part in this argument... It's obviously a grammar war between my friend and I. You are the unwelcome guest that shows up and clearly has no point to even existing. Now please refrain to reply to this, for I don't care for a word that you say nor anything else of this subject. Did I mention this song really is great?

  • @Versipelles I was more towards his content than grammar. Notice what I was pointing out; Then realize how i was being constructive. Besides... Do I really care that I missed to capitalize the "i's"? I think not.

  • 5.05 - just amazing! Tear to my eye.

  • i did a dance to this in a pantiomime !!!! LOVED IT XXX

  • sorry hoor maar het moest voor school ;)

(keep your opinion to yourself... there's enough people who actually ENJOY this music.)
