It wouldnt be hard to authenticate it with the original film, there has to be a police report somewhere about this. The fims owner, his uncle took this video. According to PhantomsandMonsters blog. you should be able to match the surrounding areas, even though there isnt much of the background

Although I believe there is a POSSIBILITY of something being out there, possibly even in the other film, this seems fake to me. The foot print looks artificial to me, and the camera looks placed. The body looks too clean, and the entire scene is way too close to the road.
I disagree with lividmachines 1st and 2nd reasons. 1st the guy looks like the same kid from the snowmobile earlier in the film. 2nd the entire film is a series of clips, they dont even appear to all be from the same day. Also the truck may not have been abandoned so much as just parked there.

I can't say that this is real or not, but it does come up with some interesting points. Such as in the orignal film there was an adult with dark hair and similar body build as the victim in this.

IMO, this video is more daming than anything. I was actually quite interested in the original film in that maybe they did catch something extraordinary... but then a part two? Police officers? An investigation? Video documentation?
And surely the attack would've made newspapers. Animal attacks, especially ones that result in death, are very thoroughly reported on by media all the time.
And then there is the inconsistancies of the scene itself, very uncharacteristic of a predatory attack.
While I would aggree that any predator would devour a human's legs first and foremost, I would disagree that it has the capability to completely rip that entire half of the body from the torso so cleanly. I mean we're not talking about a gazelle, we're talking about an overweight human being whose midsection is probably the widest and thinkest point of her body... no offense.
... and then you have to ask if its characteristic for a canine to do that? While they might actually rip flesh from their prey to hide and eat later, I don't think could rip the entire lower half of a human being from the torso, no matter how big it is. Actually, it might be more consistant with a pack of dogs, rather than one... but even then more of the remains would've been devoured.
The teeth and mouth captured in the first film actually looked quite small, perhaps fist sized.

what I see is a tarp that is moving back over the hand......I watched it over and over.......watch how the fold in the tarp changes.....some tarps are heavy and will not stay in place and move....my father owns a tarp and canopy business and I have had to fold them with him.......not always easy to keep them neatly folded.....they slide too

After watching several different videos that stop and show certain details I feel like this is a real home movie and that they had seen this thing probably before and had the camera in the chance that they saw it again but instead they shouldve had a big big gun or two. its def in the background of several parts and not just the end. Seems a little over simplified of a scene for a vicious animal attack. Wouldn't there be more of a mess, like parts strew all over the place, bite & claw marks on the victim's arms indicating a struggle, an attempt to defend against the beast. Besides, that's not how a bear eats, from what I've read & been told. You can always tell when a bear ate the carcass because the skin will be pull up & turned inside out like when a human takes of their clothes, like pulling a sweater off over your head.

It is not hard to fake digging a hole in the ground, having actors stick their lower half of their body into said hole, and attaching fake guts to the body. Even in the 60's
if this is a fake at 0:54 where the fuck is the ass. torso just cuts off into a 90 degree angle and there wasnt enough fake guts to cover up the ass hanging out of the hole, plus the ground around it doesnt seemed to be disturbed.
the only thing that seems fake to me is that the two locations seem different. in part one they were in a dense wooded area, leaves covering the ground like a blanket, and far from a road. here you got lesser dense area of trees, way less leaves, and near a road. unless the animal dragged its prey to a different area, but why near the road?
Well 1 there is no huge pool of blood, so it must be a vampire dog man, or a fake. The body and guts look rather fresh implying it had not sat that long and thus implying that there would still be fresh blood, i hunt and ive killed animals to come back days later and track their blood, it doesn't just vanish. Also in the first film, you see no woman in the truck, you see what looks like a mans face in the mirror and it pans over to see a male driver, no female, where did she come from?
it was odd because the creatures limns were very odd, they were very bulky in the front but the hind legs were... umm i cant explain it something seemed very off about them, and in the late 60s and early 70s it wasnt possible to fake something like that.
the reason why thers not much blood is probably because she was dead for a few days. blood doesnt stay around a crime scene forever like in the movies, and theres no way it could have been faked in the 70s too real and too much in common with the first bit of the gable film

There's one thing I've noticed on the first full version of the Gable film, is the dog's behavior. Twice it shows the dog's reaction when looking out into the snowing woods and another time when the Man/woman was working on the truck. It's as if the dog has spotted something both times. But, that's just me.

The wing mirror of the Truck is not the same as the one in the original Gable film. (where we see the boys face composited on) As it does not have a support pole on the base of the mirror in that one.
I think these 2 films are done by the same person but that is an oversight. I think the interior truck shots were done with a different vehicle. Maybe one that wasn't 30 years old at the time of filming.
This is riddled with mistakes. Most notably, the 'film' is video. the scanning lines where it gets 'cut short' at the end would not occur with film. You only get that effect when you 'video' video.
Also, if that is the end of it, why, when the camera moves back to the screen briefly, do we see continuing footage of trees for a few frames

The film is original up to 0:40 and then the rest is a recent add-on. Same with the Gable 1. It's original up to the 'maw' shots. Then the rest is hoaxed.
The only thing that gets me about this film is that you see the camera man film himself for a split second in the mirror of the truck and after that it cuts off, and you see the furry thing just standing there. They didn't, it is the perspective change of the camera that makes it look like that, as they are walking up to the tarp, you can see the other cops legs in the video by the tarp, the tarp doesn't change size. The shadows from one angle can't be seen in the other angle where they pull the tarp back.
Yeah the man showing the corpse is has his leg between the arm and the head and he kicked the arm back with his leg. Why would anyone who is playing a corpse in document move their arm? Especially if they are trying to fake it? It all looks real to me.

I am a former photographer attached to Camp Pendleton's Provost Marshall's Office and I had to see some disturbing things in my tenure there. Yes, it's a fake. The creature is a man in a guillie suit. The type worn by snipers to blend into the foliege. It was on monsterquest last night. The man who is chopping wood in the film (you'll see him if you watch the whole thing unedited.) he's the one in the suit. He's also the one lying on the ground disemboweled in the 2nd film. He explained how he made everything. It was a great hoax though. Had me fooled!

ITS NOT A WOMAN, that's the camera MAN from the first video, it's supposed to look like he got mauled by the wolfman. But, realy this was filmed only 2 or 3 years ago, he stood in a hole in the ground and stuffed stirafoam guts down his shirt. I watch every Monster Quest episode, the one revealed all this is my favorite.

The man who created the original Gable video and this one admitted the story on Monsterquest. He did it to bring back the "excitement" of the original dogman sightings and hoped to get people back into it again. The body is the guy in a hole with a fake organ spill. The creature from the first film is a guy in a gilly sniper suit.

just going to make some suggestions...i've seen many police photos of entrails and they don't look like that when they find the victim. #2. dude is wearing a different shirt, 3# usually when a person is attacked by an animal, the animal usually goes for the throut and the person throws up his hands in a defensive manner...no marks on the hands or arms. #4...that thing in the video does not look like it could rip a man's lower half off...and why would it leave the upper half?

Obvious that the woman on the ground has her legs down in a hole in the ground and they have made it look lie ripped flesh hanging where her "severed" legs would be. THis is a simple and old horror flick specail effect thats easy to dublicate. Also, whats with the cop? THis looks so staged. Hats off to whoeer put this and the other Gable film together. Although I believe there is a POSSIBILITY of something being out there, possibly even in the other film, this seems fake to me. The foot print looks artificial to me, and the camera looks placed. The body looks too clean, and the entire scene is way too close to the road.

I don't believe these to be actual events: 1) the man whose face you can see in the right mirror was blond.
2) There were two people in the truck but the truck is left behind so who phoned the police about what happened?
3) civilian films of any crime scene are confiscated without question.
4) in the 1st film the camera was inside the things mouth wouldn't have taken his arm too?
5) the shirt is nearly bloodless and intact. Such an attack would lead to a multitude of wounds but there are none!

I disagree with lividmachines 1st and 2nd reasons. 1st the guy looks like the same kid from the snowmobile earlier in the film. 2nd the entire film is a series of clips, they dont even appear to all be from the same day. Also the truck may not have been abandoned so much as just parked there.

IMO, this video is more daming than anything. I was actually quite interested in the original film in that maybe they did catch something extraordinary... but then a part two? Police officers? An investigation? Video documentation?
And surely the attack would've made newspapers. Animal attacks, especially ones that result in death, are very thoroughly reported on by media all the time.

While I would aggree that any predator would devour a human's legs first and foremost, I would disagree that it has the capability to completely rip that entire half of the body from the torso so cleanly. I mean we're not talking about a gazelle, we're talking about an overweight human being whose midsection is probably the widest and thinkest point of her body... no offense.

While they might actually rip flesh from their prey to hide and eat later, I don't think could rip the entire lower half of a human being from the torso, no matter how big it is. Actually, it might be more consistant with a pack of dogs, rather than one... but even then more of the remains would've been devoured.
The teeth and mouth captured in the first film actually looked quite small, perhaps fist sized.

what I see is a tarp that is moving back over the hand......I watched it over and over.......watch how the fold in the tarp changes.....some tarps are heavy and will not stay in place and move....my father owns a tarp and canopy business and I have had to fold them with him.......not always easy to keep them neatly folded.....they slide too

its wierd. After watching several different videos that stop and show certain details I feel like this is a real home movie and that they had seen this thing probably before and had the camera in the chance that they saw it again but instead they shouldve had a big big gun or two. its def in the background of several parts and not just the end. I would say they were driving away from the cabin, saw the creature, decided to stop and give chase and got too far away from the car, possibly lured?

Seems a little over simplified of a scene for a vicious animal attack. Wouldn't there be more of a mess, like parts strew all over the place, bite & claw marks on the victim's arms indicating a struggle, an attempt to defend against the beast. Besides, that's not how a bear eats, from what I've read & been told. You can always tell when a bear ate the carcass because the skin will be pull up & turned inside out like when a human takes of their clothes, like pulling a sweater off over your head.

Good point about the scavengers, which I kind of alluded to in not so many words when I described how a bear eats. When I said there would probably be tissue strewn all over the place, I meant that more in a generic sense, and not for bears in particular, which is why I used the generic term "beast". In other words, even if it was supposed to be something other than a bear, the point is that the carcass would NOT look like this movie prop that is being used in this piss poor attempt of a hoax.

the only thing that seems fake to me is that the two locations seem different. in part one they were in a dense wooded area, leaves covering the ground like a blanket, and far from a road. here you got lesser dense area of trees, way less leaves, and near a road. unless the animal dragged its prey to a different area, but why near the road?

Well 1 there is no huge pool of blood, so it must be a vampire dog man, or a fake. The body and guts look rather fresh implying it had not sat that long and thus implying that there would still be fresh blood, i hunt and ive killed animals to come back days later and track their blood, it doesn't just vanish. Also in the first film, you see no woman in the truck, you see what looks like a mans face in the mirror and it pans over to see a male driver, no female, where did she come from?

the reason why thers not much blood is probably because she was dead for a few days. blood doesnt stay around a crime scene forever like in the movies, and theres no way it could have been faked in the 70s too real and too much in common with the first bit of the gable film

There's one thing I've noticed on the first full version of the Gable film, is the dog's behavior. Twice it shows the dog's reaction when looking out into the snowing woods and another time when the Man/woman was working on the truck. It's as if the dog has spotted something both times. But, that's just me.

The wing mirror of the Truck is not the same as the one in the original Gable film. (where we see the boys face composited on) As it does not have a support pole on the base of the mirror in that one.
I think these 2 films are done by the same person but that is an oversight. I think the interior truck shots were done with a different vehicle. Maybe one that wasn't 30 years old at the time of filming.

This is riddled with mistakes. Most notably, the 'film' is video. the scanning lines where it gets 'cut short' at the end would not occur with film. You only get that effect when you 'video' video.
Also, if that is the end of it, why, when the camera moves back to the screen briefly, do we see continuing footage of trees for a few frames

This is the Youtube version, featuring a dog in a costume, and a fake person half buried in the ground with some gore thrown on. Note that the first frames of the animal clip shows the dog's handler exiting stage left after telling the dog to stay. cameraman calls it to him, it runs sideways because it has a stinking costume on. Vintage film effects makes gullible people believe it is real. People WANT to believe fantasy.

Very interesting.
The only thing that gets me about this film is that you see the camera man film himself for a split second in the mirror of the truck and after that it cuts off, and you see the furry thing just standing there. why did the hoaxsters change the lage size of tarp to a smaller one over the victim? to make it easier to pull up for the next shot?

They didn't, it is the perspective change of the camera that makes it look like that, as they are walking up to the tarp, you can see the other cops legs in the video by the tarp, the tarp doesn't change size. The shadows from one angle can't be seen in the other angle where they pull the tarp back.

Yeah the man showing the corpse is has his leg between the arm and the head and he kicked the arm back with his leg. Why would anyone who is playing a corpse in document move their arm? Especially if they are trying to fake it? It all looks real to me.

I just checked that out. Thanks for posting that information. They are probably just checking into it all since everyone like us investigating the two films have asked near every Michigan Department about it, and they where unable to dig up any FOIA Document on this thing ever happening so they would have interest in both films to try to get to the bottom of this alleged incident. I was sent a message about this new happening and I checked out ur utube and site first to see whats up. Good work.

The exposed fingers above the victims head around 56sec suddenly jerks back under the tarp out of view of the camera.I guess a low budget didn't allow to reshoot the scene.Next some forensic expert will post and claim that was just a nero spasm of the cadaver. This reminds me of all the trustworthy characters whom bonafide the dead bigfoot and alien autopsy .

I am a former photographer attached to Camp Pendleton's Provost Marshall's Office and I had to see some disturbing things in my tenure there. One was a young Marine who got hit and dismembered by a train in the 22 area. from someone who has seen destroyed human bodies up close....this is looks real to me. It's amazing how someone can swear that those are "pig" "horse""cow" or whatever intestines from the video. You know NOT.

Thank you! I have tried to get that point across to some of the people in the group of researchers I am part of. I've come across a lot of dead stuff that showed signs of animal feeding, and from what I could see, the trailing bits were fascia from between the organs. If it was the whole of the bowel there, it would be trailed out and spilled over a much longer course.
