Great information! You are easy to follow. I need help with a mac though. I got as far as opening the music and setting the time from beginning to end on how long to play the song and where to start and end it. Then you say to right click and open in windows explorer. Help please. Mac doesn't have that one. I tried going around that but wasn't successful. Thanks much.

I only have after i done this and right click the song it only shows::; the name of the song show info trackname iD3 tags convert times played show in playlist copy remove and make a selection. nothing to convert. you cant even choose a ringtone. shitty apple.

i found that you have to move the song to library twice and then in i-tunes, delete one copy, but choose to Keep File. this worked for me,.. as like others i followed step by step. but i-tunes said it could not find the file

I don't get it cuz the songs/ringtones are in the itunes library under "ringtone" section, which means it should work, AND I can mark the songs before syncing... I don't get it...?

Don't do that it's a lot more work than it needs to be just go to the apple app store and download Ringtones designer they have a lite and a 1 dollar pro version it's the same thing but easier you can hear it save send whatever it's a lot easier
