Nice Tutorial, but try to keep it on camera! even if you have to zoom out slightly... just a tip. It's difficult to see what you're doing in the last 1/3 of the video because you half disappear off the screen... and especially when you're threading one module through others :p

Im just learning about Tetrahedrons.

But isn't that, not, a tetrahedron? Looks more like a bunch of triangles intersecting off sides of center.

it's 5 intersecting tetrahedra

if you look at the finished product, the vertices will make 12 5-sided faces

if you connected each of these 5 vertices, they would make a pentagon. If you did this for all vertices, you would have a dodecahedron

this makes sense because a dodecahedron has 20 vertices, and a tetrahedron has 4, and there are 5 in this model

while I don't completely disagree with you, why can't this be "true origami of thirds-sheets"?

you seem to only speak for purely square origami, but many models are made from rectangles, triangles, hexagons, etc too.

since I don't buy paper, most of all that I make are folded and cut out of my Printer/Legal-sized paper.

Is there a certain way to fold the paper in thirds because I keep messing up. I measured it and all but I just can't get it right. Also, what does he do at 1:32 to 1:40 and 1:58 to 2:06. I'm confused at that part. Help please?

at 1:32 and 1:58, its a simple reverse fold, you fold the little triange INSIDE the piece. very simple once you get it. at 1:40 and 2:06, you just fold the section over again to make an arrow shape.

This is great, but often your hands go out of the shot and I can't see what you're doing. I noticed this especially when you're showing how to form the ends of the paper strips and then later as you show how the tetrahedra go together. Your hands are out of the shot and we're left looking mostly at mat.

Hello dear, i found your video really helpful. But when you start assembling the third tethraedrom, you put the pieces way out of the camera, and i got totally lost :(, and even trying by myself i cannot figure out how to put it right X(

I have a problem - folding the 6 pieces is ok, but by getting them together, when I am with the last corner, I can´t grab in to the flap, and by trying it, the whole thing is bended apart and most of the pieces separate from the other.

Can anybody give me a tip for this.

It's because the corners must bend around each corner to lock it in place.

For the last strut, you have to push one of the struts with the slot flat (carefully) so that the pocket is open. Then you put then other strut with the flap in side. You need to press all three struts together at once to make sure it gets in to the pocket all the way. Then crease it softly to lock it in place.

It does take practice, but it's not terribly difficult

It must be in the aspect ratio of 1:3. This is because it is mathematically possible to physically weave 5 tetrahedrons together if the "Struts" are 1 by 6 (since the 1:3 rectangles are folded in to a 1:6)

Here clue:-

1. Use big paper like A3 sheets And of different colors.

2. Staple ends while forming them.

3.Use the rule that " ONE CORNER OF ANY TETRAHEDRON(SAY 'A') SHOULD PASS THROUGH THE CENTER OF THREE OTHER CORNERS OF OTHER TETRAHEDRON(SAY 'B'). THE FOURTH CORNER OF TETRAHEDRON 'B'(they have only 4 corners), SHOULD PASS THROUGH THE REMAINING THREE CORNERS OF TETRAHEDRON 'A', AND BOTH OF THIS CORNERS(first of 'A' and fourth of 'B') LIE EXACTLY OPPOSITE TO EACH OTHERS.

This is a very nice model, so far, im at where you put the third shape in. But sometimes when your building it, your hand and the camera goes off the screen and I couldn't see what was going on.
