  • Bend your knees man your gonna injure your self really bad

  • this is 4 years ago, im sure he has it figured out now. calm down

  • its not horrible form you idiots......he is using a hook back like all great powerlifters.

  • @justinp766 Your the idiot, read the title.... BENT OVER ROWS.... In order to do that you must be BENT OVER!!!! All hes doing there is a trap workout!!

  • @MrDamienbell

He is bent over you retard lmao. Mr.Damienbell .....you must be a very little dude with very little lifting experience judging by your excessive reply's. you do not know anything.

  • terrible form

  • Regardless of the fact that this guy could make the lift harder by bending over more, he's lifting a decent weight, one most people wouldn't be able to lift with that kind of strict form. It's the whole weight vs. form argument I guess.

  • @tyciol Weight doesnt mean shit without form, U have to atleast be hitting the targeted muscles, this guy aint, bent over Rows is for Lats rhomboids middle traps, all this guy is doing is shrugs coz its way too heavy for him to row.

  • @MrDamienbell Weight always means something, both form and weight clearly matter and multiply one another.

We don't necessarily know which muscles this guy is trying to target. While I agree this weight's probably too heavy for him to row supine, this is obviously more than a shrug, even if he's initiating the movement that way and that the move is probably closer in effect to a shrug than it is to a fully prone row.

He would still hit lats/rhombs/traps in the movement though.

  • there's is no way you can use the so call correct form if you lifting in excess of 300 pounds that's if you want to fuck up your back, cheating reps are part of the parcel of gaining strength and muscle.

I laugh at these ppl who think they no shit about form that tells me they lift light weights, if you want to get big and cut lift bigger and diet properly.

  • you must still train the muscle targeted mate, he is only cheating himself by lifting way too much weight and turning the exercise into a shrug, if you want to use the cheating principle you still have to target the muscles you are training. That is ego lifting, anyone can lift big weights at the expense of form, Its about contracting muscles, not swinging weights to build your ego

  • if you feel it, then its working, "cheating" or not

  • Looks like you're doing shrugs... look at your upper back bent

  • That is fucking woeful form, you should be ashamed of yourself, go speak to experienced trainer or study biomechanics or something. PS Were you wanting to train your quads there or was that just to cheat, but your only cheating yourself of results.

  • @MrDamienbell if thats cheating then you should watch jay and ronnie do their workouts.

  • @america101010 I have seen them both do thier workouts and they have never had that kind of woeful form, that may do partials, but at least their training the targeted muscles, not just swinging weights around for the sake of lifting weights way out of their strength range.

  • @MrDamienbell now obviously this guy doesnt have the best form but jay and ronnie have far more attrocious row form than this guy, maybe youre blinded by their size but they do the same thing, they even use more momentum than this guy

  • @slimbw93 NO they dont, as I said Ronnie does do partials, but because hes bent over (which is what the exercise is called) hes getting way more back contraction, this guys just overloading his traps,

  • @MrDamienbell im not sure if youre aware but there have been many studies proving overload strength does not work...in laymen's terms...it basically makes you look like an idiot. However steroids have been proven to work well, hence ronnie and and jay. In what world does momentum count towards anything? partials arent shit, and this guy in the video aint shit!

  • Your back is not flat. fix your form

  • I really hate this exercise... no feeling

  • @Dodo5981 maybe you not doing it right!! i was the same but now its the best

  • @Dodo5981 Then you havnt got a clue about training or contacting muscles, coz its one of the best in the book if you execute it correctly.

  • your back must be straight

  • u got to bend over more

  • form, form form. sometimes form just does not get it. as long as you are comfortable lifting they way you do and nothing hurts afterwards, then keep on keeping on. even Arnold was never in perfect form when training. who is?

  • Better**

  • Amazing bro! Only thing I have to say is the form could be a bit beet. Other than that, just fantastic and keep it up!

  • this fool is going to have all sorts of problems when he gets older

  • @bigjohn529 FUCKEN OATH HE WILL HES EGO LIFTING AND NEEDS TO DROP WEIGHT AND LOWER AND ARCH HIS BACK.

  • @MrDamienbell You don't know what you're talking about. You're a fat cunt. Laughing out loud!

  • awful technique.

  • nice

  • Like everyone else has said, your form isn't very good. Your back is starting to round over and you aren't able to complete each rep (touch your chest). It's the equivalent of not touching your chest when doing bench presses, or only lifting the bar a foot of the ground when performing dead lifts. Drop about 30 lbs off of the bar and use better form.

  • cover up your hands with something! Why training? with these udly tatoos you should never walk aroung in short sleeves LOL

  • @johny12345678900 lmao. its a video about a back workout and u commenting on tats.

  • @johny12345678900 what the hell are you talking about dude, we don't live in an oppressed dictatorship ruled by the sins of religion like you probably do.

  • Do you prefer the overhand or underhand?

  • @thechino under hand is the better way of doing it , u get a better pull

  • your back looks rounded. this is not good.

i might be wrong because i can't see it that well, but if it is drop some weight and stretch your back (not overstretch) or you will ruin it completely.

  • @wubs23 it's not that much weight, this ammount is probably good for working out your lower back if you can concentrate on it safely. I used to do back extensions with a 35 kg dumbell to my forehead, and thanks to that, I never used a belt for anything, even for squats with 150+ kg. Never got hurt either, not my back anyway

  • you can tell thats too much weight for him because on each rep he begins standing straighter and straighter. and he can't hold the bar at the top of his lift and lower it back slowly. in fact he raises the bar a little bit less on each lift. he should be bending a little more at the hips and keep that back set at the right position. he should also drop those hips down a little lower when initially picking up the bar.. form nazi. no. just cautious with vertebrae.

  • i never do that lift. when i work my back i have to a get a deep rom

  • Comment removed

  • its not supposed to hit your chest....

  • rofl, either you're stupid Bleew86 or a massive troll

  • tell that to jay cutler or arnold and they laugh in ur face...yea u need good form for building a good base but to break through plateaus u need to sacrifice form a little bit

  • its not necessary to sacrifice form, but there is no harm in doing it from time to time to get that extra set or rep....the problem is when people ue incorrect form all the time, usually because the weights are too heavy for them to handle. Its just simply inefficient, and risks injury.

  • agreed, the guys commenting on form above are just jealous, but minor sacrifices in form are no big deal, its when you totally throw it out

  • well all im saying is that in order to build a good base u need good form...but once ur built up and kno what ur doing u can sacrifice form....the first few reps need good form but u can cheat at the end to get a few reps in

  • yer, I'm not denying you can't. Form is bound to be compromised, either intentionally or through fatigue or simply not knowing the proper form. Theres no harm in it as long as you don't make a habit of doing it all the time.

  • good form

  • dont swing ur legs

  • form didn't suck at all. i'd bend my knees a tiny bit more, but good lift. definitely watch that arc in your back though.. it's almost a little too much, keep that shit straaaiiight

  • form sucked

  • do u think ronnie, arnold or any of the greats got to where they are by using perfect form. "everyone wants to get big but noone wants to lift no heavy ass weight"........good lift bro

  • U need form else you will injure yourself.
