Just divine - thanks and mercy for elevating our soul from inside out - always loved you since 1972 my french literature teacher (in Morocco) made me discover you.
pink floyd's music never fails to tough something deep inside..this number is no exception..where in the world(or other world?) did they get the inspiration? WOW
Wow, I wasn't even born when Pink Floyd was founded. (I think my parents didn't even know each other at the time) But OMG... I looooooove this music soooooo much!!! Their music is so well composed and full of meaning, just like poetry. Their works are timeless classics and I pity all these hivemind kids of today blindly swallowing every trash "music", completely unaware this exists.
intense and deeply inspired... in a word, a fantastic song
I still dont get to believe how they decides to not play it during the last tour (I'm talking about the Division Bell tour) as a standard track-list song, this is the first time I've listened to it live... It's thousand times better than What do you want from me and other good for 45rpm only songs included in the DB album...
look at them (Dave and Rick) how in synthony were... I bet they would have done another tour if Rick... :(
Grande musica um poeta .....sempre vivo em nossas memorias ................... VAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEUUUUUUUU RICHARD thanks...........
-->>The rest, it's the last moment between them. Anger, forgiveness, loss, pain, grief, and all power feelings a man can feel... at the same time.. I'd take that as a gift if I was to die. It connects somehow to"coming back to life" too. But that's my fantasy! Peace to all.
Just a thought about the song meaning. (Not the true meaning of this song). I think It speaks for two close friends, two soul mates traveling together in life, bounded spiritually. One of them some years later, discovers that he developed some kind of serious illness. I guess after that, he kept it secret from his friend. In between they followed different routes in life but they kept in touch. Until it came the day he had to die..Couldn't live any longer. -->>
Great song. Thank you Uploader however there are some lyrical errors but still very entertaining. Good work. Richard will always be remebered for his soft voice that he brought to Pink Floyd.
@wierdo4life222 Roger Waters is still alive, as is Nick Mason and Dave Gilmour.. Nick Mason is the drummer, Dave Gilmour on lead and vocals, Richard Wright was piano/keyboards... also... diod you know that Sam Brown ( Jo Brown's daughter) was one of the longest serving backing vocalists with the band?
I love this song (its one of my favs) and this album, but ever since '85, the band hasn't been the same. I love Pink Floyd, as in Roger Waters, Nick Mason, Richard Wright, and David Gilmour, and even Syd Barret, not this -- at least, not as much. Hearing this song only brings sadness realizing that the greatest band on earth ended over 10 years before I was born, and I will never get to see it live. Again, I have mixed feelings about this lineup. RIP Rick and Syd.
Have you seen the beautiful smile of Gilmour when he looks to Wright when they sing alternatedly? Harmony between them was deep and magic...Gilmour is right, he won't be able to play in the same way without Wright....
one of the best song from right wright after echoes......his words are so soothing.....this song really give satisfaction...no comparision......with others:)
This was the song that my wife and I danced when we where just friends... Time went on, we divorced but still see eachother from time to time... And always when this song is played we look at eachother and smile.
GREAT!!
