The bodywork of the Porsche Cayenne's cute but to scale / crawler is not visually as well, I was to buy an equal (porsche) but I chose the land rover d90.
After all, I liked to see the body of the Porsche in this video.
@vmcb83 I like the Porsche bodywork but it's more a racer/rally bodywork than a crawler, I agree with that. I love Defenders also so I made my own Defender 110 on this chassis! Most of the time I drive with that body. The Porsche body isn't verry strong so he is a bit damaged right now after some crawling. For scaling/crawling I like injection molded bodys like the Pajero they are stronger and have more details.
@stickmantis Nice, hope you get a lot of fun with it! If you have questions just ask! Btw one of the first things you have to do when you want to trial/crawl is locking the diffs that helps so much. And put ball bearings in it otherwise you wear your axels.
@stickmantis Wow you have a lot of Tamiya's now! The Pajero has a locked rear diff, ball bearings a truck motor and Tamiya highlift tires (on the Pajero rims). And the front dampers aren't stock: these are a bit smoother. Good luck with your vehicles!
@maxmumi The pajero costs stock around €300. He has Tamiya highlift tires wich cost around €30 + a truck motor wich makes him slower and stronger (€30). The Porsche is around €270 but he has some modifications (other wheels, tires, motor) that will cost around €100 more. oth cars have ball bearings wich will cost around €30. I think you'll find all those parts a little bit cheaper on inernet. I bought them by a shop that makes it a litle bit more expensive.

@Tamiyadriver3 Will do. I also have the pajero just have not put it together yet. It seems most of if not all
the kits have bushings in them, it would be nice if they includded those in each kit. I received my sand rover
last week, have not started that yet either. also going to order the blitzer beetle soon as tower gets it in that
should be fun also. the pajero in the vid was that rtr?

Nice, love the cayenne. what tires and rims are those? very nice.

@stickmantis The rims are from the Tamiya Hummer. The tires are from the Tamiya highlift. I had to cut a little from the body to make them fit good.
