hal harris knew that the guitar was not the only instrument in town
the bass, drums, vocals and guitars are component parts in making a great record..a lot of todays rockabilly acts (working on a tight budget) put a lot into getting a hot guitar sound at the expense of the rhythm section.
mind you, hal harris was one top musician as were the other guys on this brilliant record,
OH Yeah! One of my all time fave Rbilly tracks,Got it on the ultra cool "Rockabilly Party" EP on Ace from the 80s,As always great to see it here with the VDO.
Yes i have these tracks.but you will find they are already posted on you tube and i try not to double up where possible..if you just type in jimmy patton on search you will find several results..any probs let me know..
Maybe we could keep in touch through this site and find some more killer tracks and videos between us.mainly listen to reggae now .still get lp's and 45's.listen now and again.got this on repress.think it was on ace label.still love my rockabilly and 50's r n b.catch you soon my friend.
No problem i'm on you tube several times a week..if you think of anything you'd like to hear again let me know..And yes Jitterbop Baby was issued on Ace but i'm pretty sure that was actually it's first release too.as it was unissued in the 50's..Imagine not issuing a track like that...Nice to hear from you,do keep in touch..
Yes I have seen you.long time ago now my friend.saw most of the bands that played in Southend &westcliff.great to hear from someone that was there.good times.
