  • Palin canceled the "bridge to nowhere" after federal cuts doubled Alaska's costs. Did she cancel the project out of opposition to pork spending as she now claims or BECAUSE the amount of pork originally expected was reduced? It was a good decision to cut wasteful state spending but it APPEARS that she is lying about her motives regarding Federal earmarks. Palin's claim to be the champion of reform based on this bridge is the thing that is going nowhere.
