  • @Nwest82 Oh yeah, I use my sizer when I want actual useable rounds. I dont size when Im using it for my pump shotgun, but for an auto, sizing is a must!

Also, I dont think the Lee Load All cant do fold crimp.

  • Make sure you start using your re-sizer die, as it is a safety issue to not use it, IMHO. Thanks for the video however, I just got one of these today for $50CDN and I love it!

  • I just got the Lee Load all in 12 gauge today, I love it and is much easier than "kitchen sink" reloading, using dowels, hammer, nails and a drill press. However I Noticed that you did a "star Crimp" for the slugs, when usually slugs should be fold crimp, I think the only reason for this is so you can actually see that it is a slug in the shell. Can the Lee Load All in 12g make roll crimps?

  • Where is the re sizer?

  • @VRMN8R Yeah I know I didn't see him use the re-sizing die at all, your supposed, to slide the re-sizing die over the shell before you push the primer out, This forces the die over the brass when pushing down on the lever, and re conforms the brass tight to the base shell, then when you go to install the new primer the press will seat the new primer as well as undo the re-sizing die so it can be removed. IMHO this die is very important as the brass will have a tendency to start separating....

  • @Nwest82 continued, from the plastic shell, causing three problems, one: the shell might not chamber or will chamber very tight, two: The reload amount you get out of each shell will be way less as the brass becomes further and further deformed and three: the worst case situation would be that the back of the brass blows off spraying pellets right into your face, etc. This could happen in pumps, semi's, or even a basic break-barrel. I've had it happen with a factory round once, not fun.

  • I bought a Lee 18-ball OO BUCK mold and have tried it out. Takes a long time to heat up and form the lower pellets. Once it heats up though, make sure to leave a connecting sprew over the top! This seems to keep the mold chambers from turning solid too soon and not filling the bottom cavities. I then use an old (sharp) cleaver to break up the three pellets in each string. I don't expect factory accuracy or groups, but for closer range work they are awesomely cheap to make.

  • Random hint ALERT... take apart the loader the aluminum column in the back that has a spring, wrap a layer of hockey tape on the spring it silences the loader so its not so ridiculous then you can silently prepare for the up and coming zombie invasion in the next room without your wife/girlfriend getting worried

  • i have been thinking of getting one of these presses for doing buckshot. do you have any experience with the new lee 18 ball buckshot mold? do you have any experience doing light loads? how does that short brass work for doing slugs and buckshot?

  • @conatuslife Me and a friend of mines been talking about getting one so once I get it I'll post up a review. Almost 90% of my reloads are light loads for competition and HD practice. They work excellent in pump action but Semi-auto I have no tried but think they will be underpower to cycle the bolt. I should check though. ;)

  • I have some LEE slugs that i was planing to reload. the slugs fits true the bore

without the wad but in a wad it does not. Is that dangerous ore will the slug form

to the barrel? Its a winchester 1200 pump .

  • @magvat That will always be the case. The reason why it doesnt fit with the wad is so the gas pressure can build up to actually push the slug. The wad is there to create pressure. Just make sure you match the right wad/load/oz

  • where do you buy your slugs and does it matter if the slug is expose like the ones you buy in the store or not

  • @moiecol I cast my own slugs. For this type of slugs you want the crimp to fold in to get the correct pressure, but of course if your shooting pump, you can load without the wad crimped. ;)

  • @mifslim I was just about to make a similar comment. And was wondering if the Lee load all for 12 gauge, can do roll crimps, as I would prefer a roll crimp of a star fold for a slug any day.

  • does the load all 2 work with 3 inch shells?

  • WOW I am deffinatly picking this thing up I have seen them for around $60 and dont like paying for new shells....How many times should I reload a hull before throwing it out? Just one or untill it tears?

  • @2066241 until she tears

  • i can barely hear the audio , how do you load sabot slugs ?

  • @MultiJoeyo same way just put a sabot slug in instead of a rifled one

  • @kbollhunt2010 well, i have no idea about prices but you better try to use google! its real! Do not ask random people on you tube! They are just to smart !!!

  • i reload them the same way i use clays innation 38gs they kill deer at 150yds

  • Do you know how to quickly empty the powder and shot when the loader is bolted down and can not be flipped over? Thanks.

  • I noticed you didn't size the brass?

  • Thanks for posting. I am trying to find detailed instructions on how to select the proper bushings. The Instructions for the Lee All are not clear on this. Thanks.

  • sup feng! this is jim, was wondering how much you save by reloading? i thought about getting me a lee load all since we shoot alot of shotgun shells

  • @mouaj Well, you dont save much if your loading for birdshots, but for slugs and buck shot you pay the same price as you would for the 100 pack shots at walmart. Comes out to about 4.75 per 25 buckshot/slugs. I only load for slug/buckshot for competition shooting. Loading for rifle/pistol though is a whole new ball game. :)

Good to chat with you again, its been a long time! tk

  • how much powder are you using mate

  • @tjc874 I was using 1.28cc with titewad, hope that helps

  • Great video...!! What type of wad do you use...? Model, fabricant etc... And will it be safe to fire in a full-choke gun...??? Greetings from Denmark ;-D

  • what type of charge do u use and how many grains? :D

  • @shitpickle1128: Im using the 1.28cc with TigthWad. These are reduced slug loads for 3-gun/defnsive shotgun training.

  • thanks. Yeah, its not mounted. I just C-Clamped it and its working fine for the past 6k shells? :)

Im in the same boat as you, i didnt have room so I just mounted it and take it off when I dont need it. Plus, I dont want to poke anymore holes. LOL

Im also using a Lee 1oz Slug mold. Works great so far.

  • Nice vid man, looks fun.

Your lee load all isn't mounted into the bench right? Asking this because I want to buy one but I don't have much space right now.

Oh one more thing, what slug mold are you using?

    Thanks! :D
