Last may 1, 2011, 00.35am i had this surgery. Due to Rupture of chocolate cyst. Kind a cute style of surgery. Eventhough, i dont want anymore! Grrr...lol! Thanks doc for posting this. Now i know what my doc trying to say.:-D
Now, how can you do a Cholesystectomy and remove the gullbladder, can you still clamp the visicular duct from that port? And can you pass the gullbladder thourght that trocar hole? Thank you ahead
@mike02601 I am a gynecologic surgeon. Any general surgeons care to comment on the previous post? I know many surgeons do cholecystectomy through this technique.
@DrKevinStepp I had done planty of this surgery before in Brazil with regular videolaparocopy. However this technique has not reached Brazil yet. Thats why I asked, and you were the first to respond to it. I have plans on adjusting myself to this new SILS/LESS.
i was wondering if i need to get one, i have been having bleeding for a month now, no pain at all, just heavy bleeding and clots. i went to the drs. yesterday he gave a pill to take, i looked this pill up, it used to treat cancer patients and aides patients with their appetite, and one of the side effects is unussual bleeding, wtf, i want it to stop not continue, im at my whits end HELP!
@heffersue1 Sounds like a progesterone if I had to guess (Provera or Megace). These are very safe drugs and are often used for bleeding problems. No worries. This could be a reasonable first step and may help normalize the bleeding.
there's needs to be WAY MORE endometriosis awareness out there......Thank God for my hysterectomy!!!! No more nausea, pain, depression, fainting, severe mood swings.......its finally all gone!!
yea i had this too 2 weeks ago. when they put the anesthesia thing on my face, i was like ok this isnt gonna knock me out. after that thought i was unconcious. when i woke up i was like wtf just happened?!@#$#4
i had the anesthesia put through an IV. before i fell asleep i was thinking to myself how long this was going to take to make me feeling sleeping. all i remember was that the anesthesiologist came in for like 2mins then i was waking up in recovery. i didn't even feel sleeping.
@rania3830 Yes, I think that the big difference between this and usual sleepeing is that you really dont sleep. You get uncounscious, not sleeping. I did it like 6 weeks ago, and felt exactly the same as you.
Ha ha! I was thinking the same, looking the doc in his face all the time just to prove Im still awake! And then I was awake, in the recovery room... :-D
i just had this done, and i was shocked to see that i couldnt see my incision. its actually up in my belly button and i have no other incisions. weird.lol. it will be nice to show it off to my friends who have had the traditional lap done and have a scar bellow their belly button and above their pubic bone.
