that is a load of HORSE SHIT. a drag strip does pretty good to see half its cars make 255 and those are HEAVILY modified(totally new engines and shit). that porsche couldnt go 255 on a cold day in hell.

the spedometer only reads that, theres a pin that stops it from goign any further, i have got much faster that what is shown. at least 220 kph. it only reads 140

I have a European Speedometer..... beside I got popped for going that fast by a state bear.... thank GOD he knew my parents, but I still had to pay a fine for a broken tail light.. hehehe nice to have friends.. Radar read 167 MPH.

mines canadian since i live in canada, (which means the speedometer is in km/h) so im not sure what 130 mph is, all i know is that they definitly get goin when you want em too. cant wait till spring to get her back on her back on teh road

BTW Yellowfiero, I love the Mods you have done to your GT. I am considering on finding another GT for a fun project, take advantage of some of the awesome aftermarket pieces to make my own ONE-OF-A-KIND GT! I sold my GT in 1997, damn I miss that car, riding low in a go-cart. Maybe that's why a few years ago I bought a Infiniti G35 Coupe, rekindling the spirit! Ciao, Roc

Yes, I agree in the 130 mph range. I had my 1986 1/2 (early 1987, same setup) rolling in the AZ desert on an arrow straight road when at 120 the right headlight door caught some air and flipped up... SH*T! I could have sworn it was going to tear off! I slowed and around 100 it popped down. I checked it on the next stop, no harm. Anyway, It was still pulling well at 120 (even in hot desert air), so 130+ should be accurate. Ciao, Roc

to answer Nukes question yes a 2.8L v6 Fiero can beat a Vtech equipped Honda civic. I know first hand. I had run a Vtach civic that have a full exault pullies, and cold air intake it was also a 5 speed. Mine was an automatic 88 Fiero Formula, he couldnt seem to pull away, and i was playing with him passing a bit and falling back even. Needless to say he didnt like it.

I had an automatic 86 GT Fastback and the only mod was a cold air intake. Vtech hondas were nothing. fuck, v6 eclipse's were nothing too! the weight:horsepower ratio on the fiero is amazing, not to mention the mid-ship placement of the engine's weight distribution. Fiero's are great fun. They eat Honda's for breakfast. :)

@730K00LH4NZ33 Fieros are(usually) pre-built with 2.8I V6 engines in the REAR of the Car. Most people mod them up to 3800 SuperCharged engines to race them.

i got a 1987 fiero gt with a lt1 swap out on archie's conversion kit and a 3.8 whipple s/c (also removed the top speed limiter chip and polised, ported, and bluprinted the block my feiro can run 10.3 @ 159 not bad for 1/4 mile

The 5-speed Getrag is good to about 168 MPH at 5800 RPM redline on a ZZ4 Chevy crate like the one on my Fiero. Speed is limited by the gearing and redline in high HP applications. I used the cartest program to calculate this using the Getrag ratios and my ZZ4 lt4 cam engine. I don't think I'd ever want to go that fast though.
