  • Double nice!

Have been looking at one....Gold Tone is the only company that I know of selling them today and they don't look anything like this beast

At the end he look's up at the camera like(what a workout)

I play a mandocello and they are total beast to play

  • Thank you for the stimulating words.

  • I absolutely love this. I love the liberty he's taken with the time. The instrument is so beautiful and wonderfully played. This is the best version of this song. Bach would be proud!

  • Beautiful! What a wonderful sounding banjo. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent and love for music.

  • Hey Robby, this is an amazing rendition of this piece! Your instrument sounds beautiful and, even more impressively, looks homemade. I showed my father this video and asked him if he would help me build one. He said "Let's build two, do the research." The resonating chamber looks to be a floor tim that you cut the rim of so you could pass the strings over. Did you hand make the neck or buy it premade? Does the resonating chamber have a covered or open back? Thanks for sharing it!

  • Many thanks for your comment.

The strings I use are Hannabach strings from top to bottom: thrird, fourth and fifth string (of a normal guitar) and the lowest is the ninth string (of a ten-string guitar)

  • OH MY GOODNESS. The tonality on that instrument is outrageously beautiful! This is actually one of the most moving arrangements I've heard. What kinds of strings are you using, it sounds so similar to a guitar in tone. Either way, way to go =)
