@kuzcat I found him in Las Vegas on Fremont street, he's SPOCK VEGAS, see his videos here on Youtube, type SPOCK FREMONT. Can't tell by the videos, but he is EXACTLY like him, same facial bone structure, body type, same eyes and costume,,, the real Classic Spock. HE should do the next film and get a million bucks for that face. Who knows Nimoy's agent??
Zachary can't replace Leonard, however, they did pick the perfect guy to play a younger version of Spock. They look so alike it's kinda creepy, even Mrs. Nimoy said as much haha!
Very interesting! The ears are the biggest difference between the two men; Leonard's are rather large and stick out a bit and Zachary's are small and close to his skull. The next big differences are between their eyes and jawlines -- Leonard has a slightly longer jawline and longer upper lip, with eyes shadowed by the inner corners of his eyebrows. And LN's eyes are a bit more "diamond-shaped" than ZQ's, which are rounder. This was so ... fascinating!
let's be frank. leonard nimoy was a decade older than quinto even in season 1 of TOS. i think, once we see what quinto looks like at roughly 35, we'll see a much more "matured" version that resembles nimoy even more closely. that's not to say he doesn't look close enough already. and it's not just about the "look". you have to play the character and quinto delivers in BOTH categories.
he can never replace leonard nimoy, but he doesn't have to! one is one and the other is the other. nimoy's not going to be young enough to play young spock ever again so why not just hand the torch over? and he has, rightfully, handed it to quinto. if he's happy and it's his character, no one else has the right to be unhappy about it to the point of bitching on youtube. i mean, really.
@LeftyHandedGuns I agree Quinto does a good job not of replacing Nimoy but of personifying Spock. Nimoy will hold a special place in many people's minds and he has been in this character for many years, Quinto does a good job of continuing the legacy and I look forward to seeing him grow with Spock as Nimoy has. Nimoy has publicly supported the casting of Quinto and the directors asked his opinion of their choice. I think they chose well.
I really like Quinto in the series I've seen him in. Even though he speaks smoothly as a Vulcan, compared to Nimoy's looks, well, eh, how can I put this nicely; Leonard is more my type.
When these first press shoots were released, I thought Quinto was horrible as Spock, because it was so obvious that he was wearing a wig and that the eyebrows were fake. I was relieved that it wasn't so in the actual movie.

I have nothing against Zachary Quinto, but he's nothing to Leonard Nimoy's outright gorgeousness. <3

They have similar eyes though Quinto's are a bit larger. The noses are different. Leonard had a more classically handsome face,too.
