Waikiki is the tourist place for touristy shopping also a beach there you could go to sunset beach, (very pretty) snorkel in hanauama bay, north shore has the big waves :P eat some... Malasadas spam musubi (if your not grossed out by it) shave ice, i think haleiwa shave ice is the most famous, (btw shave ice is what mainlanders call snow cones and there different here) laulau poi idk... uh.. theres a zoo and an aquarium in waikiki too, alamoana, kahala mall, and pearl ridge are the main malls

Shibby, go to Haleiwa town ( H A L E I W A ). There's a place there called Matsumoto Shaved Ice. It is the most well-known shave ice place in the islands. Also, I agree with dasoldier02.

You also said something about hiking. If you're going to hike anywhere, hike the Diamond Head Summit Trail. The view from the top is absolutely gorgeous. I've been there on multiple occasions with friends.

I'm from Oahu, check out LaniKai beach, nicest place you'll ever see, also stop by Lani Kai Juice while your there, and get an Acai Bowl while you're there. you wont regret it.

Go up to the North Shore and check out Turtle Beach (Laniakea) to see the best snorkeling ever.

Go to Waikele shopping center and get Shaved Ice from Magic Mountain. BEST THING EVER. Also eat at Zippy's....... MMMMMM or 'ono' as we would say.
