  • S Korea looks amazing and it makes me want to go one day. However, I keep wondering in the back of my mind about N. Korea. Is S. and N. Koreans like brothers?? S. Korea is so advance and N. Korea is like so backward and I feel so sad for the people of N. Korea that I really wish that someone will free them and make them revolt and fight for their human right to be free.

  • @chidosaurio

In North Korea, they HAVE NO right to be free. That stupid dictator took that right away. And, North and South Korea aren't like brothers at all. It's more like a broken up married couple. North Korea wants nothing more than to rule over South Korea. They need to leave us South Koreans.. ALONE ): .

  • @chidosaurio I prefer saying North of Korea and South of Korea, instead of SK-NK. Because we're the same ppl, same nation, just politically (and stupidly) divided. We've been brothers in blood for some 5000 yrs. The recent division of some 60 yrs is heart wrenching and should end in the coming yrs, through peace, peace only. Hope my parents can see their motherland united again, under a free, democratic govt. United Korea, helping bring peace to our world. This is my naive, yet sincere dream

  • @wraspita however there is a clear unbalance after 60 years of different economic models, how could do the government of South Korea to pay lower salaries to people in the undeveloped north?, that people in the nort will soon ask for equal salary than those in south, and people in south would complain about the stagnation of their salaries due the pressure of 27 million new mouths to feed, see what happened in Germany, but the good part is that reshuffling period would last less than 10 years

  • yes but actually in the world many people are also obssesed with asian stuff , today many asian thing are popular in the world loke video games , cars , cell phones , manga/anime from japan or dramas from korea or films from china , in the past only western stuff was considered cool and part of popular culture but today many asian things are mainstream culture

  • That's very true :) Asian pop culture is spreading very fast you can see it everywhere :)

  • miss s.korea.. its beautiful enough, but most people in s.korea are obsessed about new, modern, western stuffs. i hope people focus on original korea's beauty much more..

  • Wow you got one best collection, very impressed

    Thanks for your works

  • Can you please tell me the song you used , I have a feeling Xiah is singing in it .

  • Anyband - Promise You

    The band is compromised of

    Xiah

    Junsu

    Boa

    Tablo

    Jin Bora

  • Thanks^^

  • Oh and to all those haters, (ahem smartgirlfat), South Korea is like a freaking period compared to the mainland, and yet we have all this amazing stuff. so shush. Japan is the most advanced, but their country and population is gigantic compared to Korea. China has the most recent technology as well, but are not very known for coming up with new things.

  • when mentioning military war, Korean will shrink and shiver.

  • You forget China has >90 cities.

And Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore are all Chinese states.

How can Korea compare with us ?

  • hey~ are you sure fact that Taiwan and Singapore are one of china? don`t kidding. ^ㅅ^;; are you fucking crazy?;; oh god. i have few acquientance who came from Hongkong, i think they don`t like just being a china. whenever i ask them "where are you from?" then, they say "I`m chinese BUT i`m from hongkong" what do you think of this meaning?

see? you dirty shitty smelly turd fucking stupid chinese monkey?

  • ...No need for the racist remarks. Though I agree with your statements. Resorting to insults is stepping down to her level. It's not worth it.

  • 어른이네요 ㅋ

  • 저는 학생이야 ^^;;

    한글 잘못하는 학생... ㅠ_ㅠ

  • You didn't finish reading my comment did you. I admitted Korea is tiny. It IS tiny. My point is, that even though were a small city, were more advanced overall. Korea WILL lose if China invades, but thats only due to the large number of soldiers you possess.

  • I look at the pictures (house, scenery, food...in Korea) all resembles to Chinese.

  • Yeah but everything looks cleaner. China is just full of pollution, so its hard to observe the beauty of China. (Though there's not much)

Though it may resemble China, it looks wayyyy better.

  • you cannot see the beauty of China, that because of your small eyes and extremist mindset.

PS. don't eat Kimchi from now on, because it's made of Chinese cabbage.

  • LOL. Were both Asian, so both of us have small eyes. Don't try and act like small eyes only exist in Korea. I can eat whatever I want, because that "Chinese cabbage" isn't grown in China. It's grown in Korea, and on Korean land, so it's Chinese cabbage, in Korea. Just like theres Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, and Middle Eastern products in the United States.

  • China is a beauty country, made up various climatic regions and a great diversity of people.....however, Korea is beautiful for its more homogenouse people and landscapes. Kimchi to Koreans is like spinach to Popeye :P.......just enjoy the world for all the good it has to offer and stop with all the hate :) :) :) :)

  • Eastern Asia is cool. Japan, Korea, China, Vietnam, Thailand. I want to visit them all. I'd like to go to Europe but I've always been more interested in Asia. If you gave me a choice between flying to Italy or Japan, I'd pick Japan in a heartbeat.

  • Eastern Asia is amazing, each region of the world is, more so to those who love them. What is important is how they affect each person differently. Have you experienced Japan? For me, I love Korea and I hope to one day assist in it's reunification. Part of me is biased because my mother is Korean, but for me, Korea touches me like no other place in this world. I'm sure Japan does the same for you. We go where we are compelled or at least yearn to go there even if were not able to,do you agree?

  • I have not been to Japan, but I want to begin a financial career in Japan or China which is why I'm teaching myself Japanese and Mandarin. There are people who are very close to me that are from Japan, but no relatives. But I agree with you 100%. And perhaps N Korea's next leader will be easier to deal with. I think the current one is beyond reason but he won't be around for much longer.

  • Everyone would agree, N Korea's dear leader is only a hinderance to Korea as a whole. However, he is in power and so while the communist north still is able to keep it's head above water so to speak, we have to deal with the North's government accordingly. One important aspect to keep in mind is, you must separate their government from their people. Many people have defected to the south already, and many more want to escape. The North no longer has the support of it's own people.

  • Yes, I think that's one reason their government is flexing their muscles with missile testing and agreed to let those prisoners go free just for a photo op with Clinton. The people are indoctrinated, some of the songs they sing in schools are sick when you translate them but you can't blame those people for that. Outside of the capital, they are starving. The government will hopefully lose control soon, they need to become part of the global economy so their children don't starve anymore.

  • Oh and I saw an interesting thing in an interview with somebody who escaped N Korea. As hungry as they are, they are told that the rest of the world is worse off. But rumors of endless food inspires many to try to escape. So the truth may slowly be leaking into N Korea. If N Korea later opens their borders to aid, and if the world actually aids them, we may see a new era for N Korea. It's going to be slow though.

  • Since the end of the Korean war, children have been brought up with a communist ideology and there was absolutely no questioning of this. However, with recent defectors, not only are they questioning this ideology, but even activities against the government have been reported. In recent years, it is the first time in the people are actually displaying some sort of rebellious actions. There has always been question as to what the world outside is like, especially of the south.

  • South Korea has always taken a more passive attitude but that too is changing. Ultimately, wtih unification and full integration, Korea wil regan its rightful place in Asia. A place that has been both positive and negative. Although the center of East Asia, Korea has not always enjoyed this fact. However, a unified Korea would be better to deal with the ever globalizing world.

  • It is interesting to note, even by the early 1980's, the perception existed that the South Korean economy would grow to rival that of Japan's. Although there is a long way to go for that to occur, Japan even today still is cautious of a unified Korea because as it stands now, South Korea is edging its way into the top ten list of largest economies and there is plans to obtain the 8th spot by 2015. A unified Korea would require some time, but it is clear it does pose a challenge to Japan.

  • ...Lol you do know that the country of Korea originated from China?

So of course there are gonna be similarities. But that doesn't mean Koreans are culture thieves. We evolve from other countries, same as the United States. They originated from Europe.

  • what's the music?

  • crap

  • beautiful!

  • seoul rocks!

  • Here's how Seoul could attract tourists:

    1. clean up the trash on the streets

    2. create parks through urban planning

    3. remove neon signs and other eye sores

    4. close Seoul's open sewers to prevent unpleasant odors

    5. create stricter zoning laws to avoid more cookie-cutter apartment complexes. Keep residential, business areas separate.

  • i agree, if seoul did this, it would be a good tourist attraction

  • Is Seoul really that dirty? You make it sound like Mexico. lol. In the movies they make it look fucking better than NYC!

  • although i myself dont like the neon signs that much it actually attracts tourism. last time i went there i haven't noticed any sewer or trash problems but as a big city i'm sure there are areas that need attention. the apartment situation is a little unavoidable as seoul is one of the most dense and populated cities in the world and because it's surrounded by mountains they need these apartments. there are nicer looking ones, but they are expensive to build.

  • The examples you give are important, however those are restricted to certain areas of the city and for the past 25 years, Seoul has implemented measures to make it not only a globalized city, but one that is well planned and environmentally friendly. So far, Seoul has done a great job. There are cities with worse cases than the ones you just described, Tokyo has these problems on a greater scale and Beijing and Shanghai are even worse, even London and New York has much to be done.

  • In regards to tourism, Seoul's trouism industry has grown substantially and has recently drawn more visitors to the city than compared to Tokyo. As far as the neon lights go, I admit some of them are a bit out of place, but many areas look quite sophhisticated such as Apgujong-dong and Myeongdong, among others. On the whole, with the exception of Singapore, Seoul is much cleaner and the upleasant odors are also restricted to certain areas. Other asian cities have major sanitation issues.

  • In recent years, especially since the Seoul Olympics, Seoul has created many well planned and environmentally positive aspects to the city, including parks and the restoration of the Cheonggyecheon stream is a major accomplishment. However, I would agree Seoul has a ways to go and other Korean cities are following suit. In addition, Seoul as well as the rest of Korea has now been over taken with apartment skyrises. Zoning laws are quite strict and with overpopulation Seoul has done quite well.

  • I visited Seoul,Korea recently. there was so beautiful and morden city.

  • Beautiful video! I especially enjoyed the photos of Garosu-gil starting around 1:45. Few foreigners get to see this beautiful street. Reminds me of Paris. Good job!

  • Good video, it takes me back to my time in Korea! Thanks!
