My dream gun, I would gladly trade my 870 for one. Handled one at a gunshop today. When you run the gun empty in pump, does the bolt stay back? When you chamber load a shell do you have to press the bolt release when its in pump?

This is a bit of an odd question. On the Benelli M1 and M2, when you pull back the bolt, the gun does not load the next shell, allowing you to quickly drop in a different type of ammo. Does the M3 do the same thing?

yes, you can also do that with an M3

they only thing i don like about it is that there is almost no accessories or modifications for it

@Polenar The Benelli m3 super 90 is a TACTICAL shotgun not a TACTI- COOL shotgun , other than a flashlight mount which Benelli provide ,. 7+ 1 in the mag , semi and pump as desired and pistol grip stock as standard . What more do you want ? .

@Polenar yeah true its odd such a versatile gun wouldn't have as many accessories from the factory and aftermarket vendors alike. but this is a great gun though. good im my opinion for home defense.

@TheLegoConstructor It is somewhat underpowered in Counterstrike, because there, it is pump-action only. The M3 is really a semi-automatic shotgun which is perfect for all uses.

M4 is semi-automatic only and has a collapsible stock and the M3 is a select fire (it can shoot semi-auto or in pump action mode)

Does your gun work in semi-auto with normal ammunition (12/70)?

My Super 90 only works with expensive 12/76 Magnum shells.

@stefanjm81 I've got one M3 too, and it does NOT work in semi with practice rounds. 12/70 hunting ammo works fine.  12/76, however, is the recommended because of the fairly short barrel. It is a sweet gun for "indoor use". (Read : Home protection)

@Brinkspaz It doesn't fire the 3 1/2, cartridge, I think. But it DO fire the 2 3/4 inch. (The normal one is 2 1/2 inch, right?) It still packs a lot of punch never the less...

Do you know if you can use this in the Ohio? I deer and rabbit hunt with a 12 gauge. I was wondering if I could use this in ohio. Like can you put a plug in this to make it only allow 3 shells like you can with the the 12 gauge?
