does it make a big difference on cruising speed as when i go over a ton she pulls my arms out (gsx1400)and how much r they and where do u buy them from nige
Thanks, I wound up getting a Suzuki screen in blue that's actually produced for them in Germany and it's taken a fair bit of the wind pressure off my chest area.
I finally installed the Suzuki fairing (the company aftermarket) and it does a very good jod against the wind. Nevertheless there is some small instability at over 220-230kmh the front gets lighter.Perhaps in combination with the bug spoiler would be more stabile
After that I preffered the motor protection bars though and it did help a little against this !
Hi Mike the screen makes a real difference cruisng speed goes up from about 80-90 to 120-125mph. I dont know if it fits the Sv the best bet is to see if the part numbers are the same for both bikes on M and P's, Busters or similar. Unfortunately my GSX1400 was written off in a smash last August (woman pulled out on me). I got 3 spinal breaks, 2 broken arms and scarred knees, but luckily am recovering. Until my solicitor finishes suing the woman I dont know what will happen to it. :-(
Hello Nige, your flyscreen looks rock solid even at 140mph, no flapping about or anything. Is it a Suzuki one and have you any idea if it'd fit on my SV thou ? Over 80mph gets to be a bit wearing on my upper body and neck after only a short time.
Sorry forgot to say the screen is a Fabrini one fits onto the indicator stalks where they go into the headlamp via fork type brackets. I recommend it if you like to cruise fast.
Thanks for the info Nige. I hope you recover well enough to ride again soon. Something similar happened to me way back in 1978 when a guy pulled right out in front of my Kawasaki Z900, leaving me with a duff right knee and eventually a nasty case of spinal arthritis. I had an 18 year layoff from bikes from 1987 to 2005, when I bought the SV foir a song from a guy from Burnley but the buzz never seems to go away. As I say, I hope you're fit again soon.
@MikeJS57 mike i have an sv thousand i its a ltd edition black classic model, and i got a after market screen from pyramid plasics that fits right in, i can send you a pic if you like, just send me your email address

Love the bike, love to ride, but that fast with a passenger is irresponsible. Still, what a beast of a machine.

There is also a screen-bikin fairing from Suzuki. Looks great on the bike ,and really helps against wind.
