I went through in 86. Instruments was hardest for me. I am not a very quick study. Eventually I caught on and made it through. I did most of my flying in medevac. Ft Stewart 3/498 Evac, Camp Stanley B Co 2/2 AVN Korea and the Good old Ft Bragg Medevac. Those Med Service officers are real Mother Fuckers. Sorry, I know it is my opinion and everyone has one, but you had to be there.

And FYI for the Jarhead, the Marines actually sent some of their helicopter students through the Army Rotary Wing program. I know, I taught one of them. Apparently the Marines wanted to know how "real" helicopter pilots flew. :-)
