  • @PankrationWarrior really, i have a few of loses like that...to many stupid rules...i feel u on that...the rules are killing the art

  • @PankrationWarrior dont try it on taller opponents ;) ....taller guys require dropping techniques

  • correct me if im wrong but isnt that leg he uses to wind up the throw just going to give the game away and wouldnt it be easier to pull towards ur body with the right-hand rather than up in the air?

  • is he really a red and white belt? pretty young looking. :/

  • no, he uses the red and white belt because he think he looks good ¬¬

  • @teufelmeinlehrer he's promoted to the 6th dan after his 10th national title

  • He's just 36 but he won 3 olympic medals & 12 medals at european championships so he does deserve that belt

  • i was thinking the exact same thing when i started watching the vid!

  • @artisco he placed three times in the olympics though..he is legendary...read his biography

  • @artisco of course,, red and white means 6th dan to 8th dan why would a man of his stature prestige and championship where something he is not.

  • @artisco Mark Huizinga, Olympic Champion

  • Good instruction. A lot of times, uchimata will look like hane-goshi, but the inner lifting leg differentiates the two techinques. Obviously, Marki Huizinga would knw what he's talking about......

  • thats 100% uchimata taught the way it is supposed to.!!!

  • That's not uchimata, that's not hanegoshi, that's just something weird.

  • it's a classic variation of a uchimata.

  • Man, what I am saying is, the classic uchimata attacking the right leg (in this film, the left leg) suppose to attack the inner thigh, not the shin.

  • I understand that. But there is 3 ways to do uchimata minus the hoping version. thats attacking the right leg. directly up the middle and the left leg. Thus attacking the left leg gets him falling to his back alot faster due to less of a rotation because the leg already moves his back towards the mat.

  • Is this Ashi or Koshi Uchi Mata ?

  • It's is definitely uchi-mata. Hane Goshi requires a springing hip which does not happen in this throw. The leg placement is not what defines one throw versus the other. Good video, thanks for posting.

  • looks more like Hane Goshi but its w/e

  • i see what you mean the enterance is more uchi mata but ive notcied alot aht Huizinga's enterance to alot of ashi techniques as well as sweep and reaps enter the same way
