@pasanius5 I know this question was kind of answered but yes its an egg timer tripod mount. The egg timer spins around like a kitchen timer would at that slow spinning rate and the camear sits on it, capturing the timelapse while slowly panning

there is no way that night scene was shot with the go pro. it's really bad in darker areas. barely sees anything in the sunset so how could it be that good in the city at night?

@mostro32 The night scene is actually a sequence of photos sped up. The GoPro is mounted on a slow-moving telescope mount. As with any video camera, the GoPro will take better photos than video at night, since with a photo the sensor is allowed to absorb more light per frame.

Ok I have a question... i have the GoPro HD and it does NOT take night shots like the one at 0:40. The GoPro filming there would produce an image completely black and very grainy. That can not be the GoPro... and it says that it's shot 100% on it. A little white lie, or do i not know anything about my camera?

@modemick But then how do you get the "full screen mode" where the format is 16:9? Normally when you take photos it takes them in the same frame aspect as the 960p video mode.

@modemick Try a stretch plug-in like Andy's Elastic Aspect. Or simply zoom in and cut off unneeded space at the bottom and top until you fill the 16:9. Since 960p is a higher resolution, you can zoom in to a 16:9 aspect ratio and still have quality comparable to 720p. As for the photos (and thus, timelapses) from the GoPro HD2, they're 11 megapixel so you can zoom WAY in and still keep resolution crisp.

@B0ard3r21 I custom made it but you can try the suction mount or make one using 1" PVC pipe and a FCS fin cup in the end of the pole.
