WOW that laptop sucks!!!!!! Get a real Mac if you want to run OS X. My Macbook boots in less than 30 seconds. 5 Minutes to load OS X is unreal, I would hate to see how long it take to load windows on that PC lol. PS Change the battery in the fire alarm.

how does this prove that mac users get more performance, all it proves is that os 10.4 cant read a pentium 3 right. Something went wrong with the kernal witch clocked it at 400mhz, have you ever tried to use a 400mh g4 with tiger, not fun. so you keep playing with your toys kingmacintosh, let us pc users do some real work.

You need at least a Pentium 4/Athlon 64 to run smoothly. If you have a Pentium III like I do, you need to run OS X in an emulator over windows. Don't expect much better performance than what I am having here.

For a p3 ... try getting the 0.5pre build by redscorp "redscorp-release-20080329.1.z­ip", and use the "ppc-generic-mmx.exe" executable instead of "ppc.exe".

Also set priority to "high", close any other apps or services, and use win2k sp4 not XP. If you can OC the processor it will help to, (not really reccomended on a lappy :) ).

i didnt know you could install Tiger on a P3. I think if you install this on a SSD HD ( with the IDE enclosure) it would boot up faster. Also, my p3 gateway 1450 supports 1gb of ram, so im thinking of trying this. What version of Tiger is this ?
