  • I'm your fan, you have a big heart, thank you!

  • This is beautiful. Thank you Anne Rice for sharing :)

  • @JuryKing Whoa!

  • I was once an Atheist. I told God I'll give you a month to prove yourself. I blocked out the world. Music, friends, tv and just read the bible, prayed, went to my Pentecostal church for an entire month. When I did watch tv it was a christian channel. It was the month of May 2011. On May 28th 2011 I gave my life to Christ. Here I am this day praising him. He is very real and loves us all. Amen.

  • @JuryKing That's my birthday. God exists and interacts when you listen to music, hang with your friends, and watch TV. He's beyond the experience of christian things. I mean he's God right?

  • @JuryKing Thats freakin' hilarious! LOL! Thanks for making my day! LOL!

  • Beautiful!

  • God is a faerie tale delusion. Science, fact, reason, and compassion is the real God.

  • @ironkatia Science would not exist without the hand of God.

  • @Kelann08 God would not exist without the hand of man

  • @TheLydianRocks You have that backwards.

  • @Kelann08 "Science would not exist without the hand of God."

You should have prefaced that statement with "in my opinion".

  • @hawklord2001 If it were an opinion, I would have. :)

  • The sistem we live on did it to all of us, disbelieve GOD, JESUS, to believe in nothing, money, faires, santa claus etc...,faith has the power within, not all the mysteries is becoming unfold just becouse we need to know it right now, keep the faith in JESUS, we have nothing to lose, take a look at the protocols of zion, then

open your soul for Crist, and give back the sistem what it need, GOD`s LOVE.

  • even in our deepst dispair, all we have to do is call out to Jesus - he will never disappoint. even when our lips cannot speak or minds cannot decide what to say, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us. God knows our thoughts and actions even before we act and understands them even if we do not. Without God, where would I be? I dont want to think about that. I just want to serve him and experience His joy, power and live for His kingdom ~

  • This is wonderful and right on time!!!!!!!!! :o)

  • You are so inspirational Anne. I feel like I have been through the same path but just experienced a lot earlier in life. I think my love for your writing and also the love of art brought me through this journey. I had a same upbringing as you in an Italian Immigrant family. I think because you touched so much of Italy's art and culture and essence, is what brought me to you. The way you described the art and visuals in your book were as if I had seen them myself. Thank You! God Bless!

  • I am an Atheist, and I very much respect everyones belief as they have a right to believe in whatever they want to. I respect Anne Rice as well as she is one of the authors I admire a lot. But I'm sorry...I can't embrace the whole, "God is real, He is good, He has a plan for YOU." talk, I really I can't. If he was real, why is there injustice in the world? Why is the catholic church among controversey? Why is he letting organized religion delude followers? Once again, I apologize.

  • @Dank951 At least you are asking questions, good questions. They have been answered for me. Start reading the New Testament, with an open heart, an open heart. Not with the intent to debate (as I used to) but the intent to understand the teachings of Christ. He was a harsh teacher, he answers all your questions in the New Testament if you have eyes to see. You aren't an Atheist you are deep down inside mad at God, put down those bags.

  • @Dank951 It starts with Genesis chapter 1. God said, "let Us make man in our image. Let them have dominion and give them authority on the earth." He gave us the ability and the right to choose what we will, here on earth. God can not lie. He gave the earth to us. But we have sinned. We brought the curse of death, disease and injustice to the world. That is why Jesus came! God needed a perfect sacrifice to pay for our sins and Jesus was and is the only answer. He took our place.

  • @perrin81 " But we have sinned. We brought the curse of death, disease and injustice to the world."

This is abhorrent. If the story in the Bible is true(which I doubt) the notion of original sin is a vile immoral act by God. Most likely sin is a human construct to try to explain why we do some of the things we do. Note that virtually no other belief system outside of the Abrahamic faiths have sin.

  • @hawklord2001 God didn't create sin. Satan sinned. He became jealous of God and sought to put himself above the One who created him. Sin definitely explains why we do what we do sometimes! God gave us the right and ability to choose. Satan has always sought to confuse the truth which is why there are so many religions. Being a believer is not about rules and laws. The law (ten commandments, etc.) was created to show us that we are incapable of following the law!

  • @perrin81 Gravity is a law. We can disagree with it. We can fight it as best we can. We can even say it doesn't exist. But gravity will always be. God loves us. God loves you. God sent Jesus to take the place we each deserved. We still have to choose, though. Jesus did the work needed to bring salvation to each person. But you have the right and ability to choose whether to believe. God didn't create robots. He formed you, breathed life in to you. Now He waits for you.

  • @Dank951 ", why is there injustice in the world? Why is the catholic church among controversey? Why is he letting organized religion delude followers?'

You'll probably be told essentially that this life is all just a test, a warmup for the real one later. A notion based entirely on speculation and wishful thinking. Our intelligence has cursed us with the knowledge that we will die, so we constructed this fantasy to help soften the reality of a harsh universe.

  • @Dank951 "Why is justice good? Why is "controversy" controversial?" "What is delusion?" "Why is knowledge of death a curse?" "Why is a universe with death harsh?" ..Check your premises...

  • I believe in what Christ taught, and who Christ was/is. It is only through Christ, that instills the (whole) holy spirit, and unveils the face of God. It is through Christ, we see the world around us. It is through Christ, we see the errors of mortal man. John 14:6 "Jesus Christ saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." Think about that... and who he said that to. It divided even the churches (at that time). Thanks for letting me share.

  • Churches mess alot of us up...big time. They will have to answer to God for all the damage they have done. But, all we can do is forgive their errors... and somehow.... move on.

  • I love Anne's story. I love the fact that her story is proof that God never stops pursuing his children and that his love is without end. It's a story of hope and joy. God is bigger than everything that we struggle with. Every place we fall short. The work of Christ on the cross is sufficient for every one of us who calls on his name, no matter what. Thank you for sharing your story, Anne.

  • she didn't leave her "organized religion"... she left her church. she still believes that jesus christ died for her sins.

  • @PlamerEldritch Show me specifically where my error is I will retract, she believes in God, but not in organized religion. Am I incorrect, show me where?

  • @SpeaksToDragons I don't believe in denominations at all. I believe the Bible, I believe Jesus was the son of God and came here to die for our sins, and I believe God is love. You get wrapped up in all of the man made crap and it just separates us from God. Going to church is great to be around others that love Christ and share the faith but being in Church doesn't make you any more of a Christian than standing in a garage makes you a car.

  • @jcaudill6921 You may not believe in denominations, but they do exist. Do you go to church? The very fact you have specific beliefs or traditions that set you apart from other Christians makes you a denomination of Christianity by default. Other problem "man made crap". Since you have similar beliefs as other Christians which which is man made and which isn't? It reminds me of Ray Comfort questioning other Christians if they are saved who are the true Christians, if there such a thing?

  • @SpeaksToDragons It states nothing in the Bible about separating into divisions of the church. There was ONE CHURCH. I was stating that denominations are wrong. The term 'man made' is in reference to men dividing up into Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, etc. which does nothing but separate Christians. Do you understand? ONE CHURCH...no denominations! Its not a difficult concept.

  • @jcaudill6921

Do you go to church? Which church is that (no address is necessary)? Sure, as you claim there isn't any specific claim of denominations in the bible, but they do exist, do they not? Why are your beliefs no more different than of other church's claims, why are they man made and your are not?

  • @jcaudill6921

I agree w/ you completely; & I can relate to what Anne Rice said. I must admit, that I prayed for God, in the name of Christ, to show me to understand The Bible. I found a pastor that teaches Chapter by Chapter, verse by verse, never opinions, but if there was ever a translation or transliteration error someplace, he taught me how to trace it back to the original text. Now I’ve been studying on my own. God /YHWH bless. PS: I grew up reading Annes' books. This vid was a treat.

  • @PlamerEldritch My quote I had taken from the clip you send was in correct or not? The quote I had taken from Ann Rice Facebook page is it correct or not?

I had taken information directly from Ann Rice herself yet you claim I am a troll.

I wanted to send you a link but I am unable to PM

  • @PlamerEldritch @ apx 20:00 - 20:20 There was an answer to him too all the problems that prevented me from embracing convential religion. I surrended that beleif in God and went back to my childhood church Roman Catholicism, now I have since left, but I think the belief in God is really important. I am not a Rice Fanboy so I don't keep up with every aspect of her life arguing from a 5 day old video that I haven't seen then calling me a troll is childish. I will pm the link to facebook

  • @PlamerEldritch When someone disagrees with you they are a troll? Google " Anne Rice leaves Christianity." Are you saying I can't validate my beliefs in a concrete realistic method so anyone that questions me must have issues. Youtube allows comments, I voiced mine, do you have some issues with that?

"False Prophet of Revelation (Organized Religion)"?

I am lost on this one, maybe it would be better to PM and explain yourself better.

  • Thank God for the testimony of Anne Rice. Go Bless her entirely.

  • Anne is a good Christian!

  • Anne is correct, and her reasons for leaving organized religion are extremely VALID. She knows her research and she's done her homework again and again. I cannot and will NOT ever feel any negativity towards this woman as she is very inspirational and good hearted. Thank you Anne for being one of the voices against organized religion. I am with her all the way!

  • WISE! "the reason for that dissatisfaction was simple, i believed in God. not only did i believe in him, i loved him, but i wasn't admitting it."

  • Ann Rice Facebook

As I said below, I quit being a Christian. I'm out. In the name of Christ, I refuse to be anti-gay. I refuse to be anti-feminist. I refuse to be anti-artificial birth control. I refuse to be anti-Democrat. I refuse to be anti-secular humanism. I refuse to be anti-science. I refuse to be anti-life. In the name of Christ, I quit Christianity and being Christian. Amen.

  • @SpeaksToDragons You refuse to be loved...thast's what rejecting God does...

  • @IamAbillionaireNow How am I supposed to know which God you think I am rejecting? Are you Roman Catholic, Mormon, Jew, Muslim, Pentecostal, Jehovah witnesses, Baptist, Fundamental Baptist, the list goes on and on. I clearly reject religion since they are all man made.

You do know the quote is from Ann Rice which is located on her Facebook page.

  • Lordes believes empirical evidence is the only way to truth, however there is no empirical evidence backing up his claim. Another reason why evolution is entirely incorrect. Ignorant of the evidence for God and ignorant of the failure of empiricism. What a shame.

  • Pretty sure she doesn't believe in god anymore.

  • @PervyPanda11211 She mentioned a while back that she no longer wished to subscribe to the organized religion known as modern day Christianity. That's different from not believing in God anymore. "My commitment to Christ remains at the heart and center of my life. Transformation in Him is radical and ongoing. That I feel now that I am called to be an outsider for Him, to step away from the words, "Christian" and "Christianity" is something that my conscience demands of me." Anne Rice

  • This women is increadibly clever. I love she's books and I think Anne Rice is really impressive person one of the wisest I have ever seen. When I had seen this video for the first time I suddenly noticed I was crying. She is amazing person I'm just wordless.

  • don't have contempt without investigation

  • i am not second, i am first and always will be.

and doesn't she left christianity again.

  • im so confused

  • Alguém por favor faça uma versão com legendas em Português...

  • I don't really believe there is such a thing as an Athiest, if you turn to something no matter what it is, besides Jesus Christ, that is your god.

  • @bondservant1228 very true! everyone is a slave to something.

  • @Lordes - You're still here I see, Lordes. You just can't stay away.

Something is working on your soul.

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas.

  • you should question your belief. it's how you grow closer to the Lord. He wants you to ask questions about Himself; He wants you to seek after him, with an open heart. you're right, we don't need to pray. and we also don't need to accept Him as who He is, either. but, not accepting Him as our Lord and savior means that we don't get to spend eternity with the creator of the universe in all of His glory and splendor. hence, free will.

  • In response to all of the posts...FAITH...that is how I know He is there....I can feel Him...you can 'call our bluffs' or whatever you want, but we do KNOW...

  • @Lordes search Howard Storm :)

  • @Lordes I just want to say the FIREBIBLE is really good, it explains a lot of stuff I never understood, that i was so confused on, just saying. The "conflicts" in the long run really are to help people if you look at the bigger picture, i kno its hard to see. You can reject it, it's your ultimate choice, nobody can force you, and you can't get me to change what I know. But if you are completely happy about what you believe, why fight others so hard that have complete joy in their faith?

  • @Lordes You don't have to believe me. I know, not just believe. The things that are mystery is where doubt creeps in. You doubt yourself, purpose, & all kinds of thing. Okay, you said you have no doubts, so that means I out-doubt you lol LMFBO-okay its the opposite of lazy to believe in God. It took me forever to release all the crap i carried, fighting doubt, sin, temptations, keeping a relationship with God strong. I dont care if you think im a disgrace, i just dont want to be to my savior

  • I am a Atheist and even though I don't agree at all with her believe system, I can't help myself but to adore this woman. I loved her vampire books so much and I will always be greatful for the fact, that the wrote them. And if her faith brings happyness to her life, thats fine with me

  • @xDarkBloodAngelx Anne Rice announced that she quit Christianity after she made this video. I'm glad she finally saw through the lies.

  • @mstngslly- Not Christianity- She quit organised religion. She still prays the rosary, still believes in God, etc, but she no longer attends Mass. I believe this is due to the hatred and bigotry that is prevalent in a lot of churches and in the hearts of many Christians today.

  • @xDarkBloodAngelx I was Atheist, Not into her books, but i ask you this?" Whats stopping you from atleast trying?" Trust me if not me, trust god, its going to be worth it, just try it. He wont let you down, Whats wrong with trying?

Atleast at the end of the day when you go to bed, you can be one of those people that can say at the end of the day"atleast i tried"

Im not trying to force you, Just trying to save you.

Even if you get mad at this message, i still pray for you.

    God bless

  • @chrisfowler623

    Tried, as in extacly what?

later day (mormon), charismatic, pentecostal, roman catholic, Calvinist, messianic, Jehovah witness, protestant, eastern orthodox, baptist, charismatic, prosperity gospel, 7th day, Judaism, Islam, Hindu, Buddhist, Zoroastrian, druid, Celtic, Wicca, native american, ancient Greek, roman, Egyptian, Babylonian, Sumerian, Canaanite, etc, etc, etc. Lets not forget unification church.

Lets try them all shall we?

  • @SpeaksToDragons Yeah. do it man! Try em all.

  • @SpeaksToDragons he's not saying try a bunch of religions... he's saying try a relationship with God, and all you have to do is ask Him. Many people are turned off by religions because to them its just a bunch of rules and rituals meant to control people, but see actually having a relationship with God is totally different... He doesnt want mindless rituals and memorized phrases. he just wants you :) and trust me, in return you get the best Friend you will ever have. praying for you too. <3

  • @cheddarcheese09 I have no clue of what you just said. Friends are people, they talk back to you in real time, you can touch them, you can call them your family, your neighbors, the people you work with. I find God is your best friend strikes me as being simple.

Are you even Christian? Do you go to church? What is the denomination? I know the routine about denominations are by man, I heard it before. You need to be more specific, your speaking in generalizations which miss the mark, totally

  • @SpeaksToDragons I am Christian and i attend a nondenominational church, meaning i dont categorize myself as anything BUT a Christ follower. any other titles are unnecessary. and yes, i agree with you, we are all accustomed to having friends we can see and touch. anything else would be weird, right? so it would be hard to get used to the idea that God is your friend and absolutely loves you, because its not like you can see or touch him. but i have seen what he's done in people's lives, including

  • @SpeaksToDragons my own. i have seen how he has changed people for the better, brought them out of drug addictions, prostitution, abuse. i cannot deny Him anymore than you can deny feeling the wind outside. but i cant change your mind, only he can do that. all i can do is spread his beautiful message that he cares for you and loves you. trust me i didnt care about God til i was 19. i wasnt even sure he existed. and those were some empty, unhappy years. he came in, & has changed everything <3

  • @cheddarcheese09 Non-denominational church is more like a marketing term. "We are not them, we are different" you are a denomination albeit just one. I would trust mathematics over the Christian faith, why? Because its a standard. Why would God bother to have his only son die (as if we are not his children) only lead to the reformation? The Great Awakenings, LDS, Jehovah Witness, televangelism, mega churches, Benn Hinn, because they are all products of man. If you wish to finish pm instead.

  • @Lordes I think for myself and I have plenty of questions. Im a Christian, i have my own doubts, I bet I out-doubt you! But I do know a few things: God is real, He is the ONLY one that could have saved me from where I was, and He's got this. I will never have answers to all my questions, if I knew all the answers then Im just as good as God or better, there will always be mystery, its easier to just let go and trust him, its hard, especially at first, but I've seen the turn out. its amazing

  • @lyssayellowsquid you will know all the answers as you unifiy with your creator

  • On this, God told us to seek answers with a humble and pure and you shall find. When it is of HIS will, he will let you understand. But I do agree, not ALL answers will be given to us....on EARTH. , if We believe that Jesus was the sacrificial Lamb God had sent to take our sins, and in that we are covered under the blood and protected from all Wickedness (You must fall back to sin).

  • For JESUS commands of us to keep looking towards him, and striving to do what is RIGHT based on God's Word, WE are guaranteed to SEE and KNOW GOD after we die. For there are Aspects of GOD that no one man could ever understand, on EARTH, for we still are of the flesh and the flesh is unclean. But the dead in Christ, they are given a rebirth, and we will ascend to Heaven meeting Jesus halfway (Rapture) All will be answered unto you in those days.

  • For being of Spirit, you are fully clensed and able to see and talk with the Lord God Almighty! That is if you are not to busy praising him to even speak of your own curiosity!!!! Relax you have all Eternity to ask him your questions, for he wants to TELL!!!

  • @lyssayellowsquid so agree!

  • I have faith that the pink unicorn is real and she governs everything in my life. That doesn't make me irrational than a Christian. We both have faith in something that has yet to be proven.

  • @Lordes "Nonsense. Your god, if he/she whatever is actually real, is either all-knowing or not. This is not dependant on the believer."

This is not nonsense, don't you know that everything exists because it Imagined intself into existance?

We cannot know if god is real or not, not in this life time anyways. To believe is to have faith that he is real. Which means its all a state of mind. If someone believes he is real, then he is real, to that person..and that means alot.. it means everything

  • and you should have sued for what they did to the queen of the dammed! they completely destroyed it.

  • e tu anne? Interview sucked. LeStat, Ammond, The Body Thief....those were awesome!

  • @Lordes Praying gives people closure, so praying is necessary. God is all knowing as long as one believes he is all knowing. And of course god can be a he or she, saying hes a 'he' is merely the representation of male dominated humanity. Religion gives people hope, and can teach people to love, but it can also make people zeolous and can teach to hate, not to question means not to think, and that is merely the arrogance of some of the believers of Christianity.

  • @Lordes Believing in him makes him real. Its all a state of mind.

  • @Lordes I can't find your other post but first of all...it's not CHEVY60 it's CHEY60..if that's how you read your bible? then no wonder you don't believe it.. I CAN and I will say that if you truly DID walk with God before? then its impossible for you to ever go back.. you have insulted the Holy Spirit.scripture says once you have tasted His glory and turned away? it's impossible to go back. I know He keeps me safe. and speaks to my heart. Don't be jealous....done VAINLY arguing with you..

  • As Hitchens once said, "What is more plausible...for the laws of nature to be broken or for a bronze age Jew to tell a lie?".

  • @Lordes:

Christianity is a religious belief system that was built up over 2,000 years on the spiritual foundations laid primarily by the Jewish faith. A lot of this salvation history has already being recorded in the Bible. The Catholic Church continued the new Christian traditions Jesus begun with his ministry. All of that is very real.

It was through faith from God that I accepted Jesus as my savior. Faith is the key, but you have to pray God gives it to you first. You make that choice.

  • BTW Anne you were not haunted.. you were pursued,.... He was pursuing you..because HE loved you and knew you wanted Him. I love that He pursues us.. like a lover pursues His bride.. that is beautiful! . :)

  • @Lordes You were "once a devout" christian.. no ..you weren't..

if you truly were, and tasted of His glory, love and goodness then you would not be a "WERE" but an "ARE"...

trust me.. I know.. You were just a blind person thinking they were walking with God..because if your eyes had been truly opened you would still be walking with him. The things God asks us to do that He "already knows" are for US..not for Him..it's for building OUR Faith....and because He wants our love.

  • @Chey60 I liked what you said.

I wouldn't get caught up in debates with "Lordes". He is confused, angry, probably hurting... which is the perfect time for the Holy Spirit to do some work in his life. He is lurking here on this video for some reason, even if he doesn't know why yet. I've added him to my prayers.

  • @samlondon777 yes! yes! yes! absolutely perfect :)

  • @Lordes It was just a concept, Lordes... just a curious jumping off point to spark a conversation.

Goodbye, Lordes. I hope that one day your bitterness and anger will be replaced by peace and understanding.

  • Amen dude be unashamed of the gospel jesus is amazing couldnt do this life without he is the great almighty jehovah jararh

  • Amen dude be unashamed of the gospel jesus is amazing couldnt do this life without he is the great almighty jehovah jararh

  • Amen dude be unashamed of the gospel jesus is amazing couldnt do this life without he is the great almighty

  • Praise our God! Be unashamed! <3

  • @Lordes Prayer is not about God knowing something already. It is about humbling yourself, having humility.

I am a very, very flawed human being. I make A LOT of mistakes.

Until you have experienced BOTH sides of the arguement, and I have, your mind and your heart will remain closed.

If you are familiar with the great book "1984", then you are familiar with agnosticism at it's most basic form. How do we REALLY know that 2+2=4.

  • @Lordes It was interesting having an exchange with you. You sound like you're young, so I hope you have a wonderful life and keep an open mind. I've added you to my prayers tonight!

  • @Lordes Did you answer my question?

I would be very interested in hearing the information that you have plenty of. You make many assumptions on what I have or have not considered.

I don't believe in any defined god either. I believe that God is beyond definition, is bigger than anything the human mind can comprehend.

  • @Lordes

    - You are confusing "faith" with "religion"

    - I never claimed my "faith" was more true than the rest

    - My faith has given me humanity.

I have a question for you. What happened to you yesterday? What did you do? What were your activities?

  • @Lordes Even Stephen Hawking, one of the greatest scientific minds ever, cannot explain "the god particle"...

Science, as scientific as it is, is STILL wonderous, miraculous, magical. Numerical squences that exist in nature, order in chaos... remain unexplained. Science is beautiful in that it doesn't have all the answers, it remains fallible.

  • @matilda452 I have a scientific mind. Science is my partner in along with faith. The more I learn about the natural world, the more I am convinced that there is a higher power.

In the end it doesn't matter to me that you don't allow yourself to believe in the preternatural, it's just disappointing that you limit yourself. Faith is one of the most powerful forces in the planet. If it wasn't, then the word "faith" would have never been invented.

  • @Lordes Your heart knows, Lordes. Deep down inside you know the truth. That's why you try to disprove it so passionately.

  • @Lordes Wind is responsible for some of the most amazing geographic features on the planet. Wind helps birds get to their migratory destinations. It pollinates crops, flowers, trees. It can also sometimes wreak havoc.

Have you ever seen the wind?

  • @Lordes:

It is easier for you to attack someone else's point of view, than to defend your own.

And, by your own admission, you already made up your mind: you aren't really interested in anything I have to state. You aren't interested in me or any other Christian, proving 'Christianity is not fiction.'

So, why bother asking? To bait me or others into making responses you have already decided NOT to be interested in or believe? To counter & denounce every point we make, before we make them?

  • @Lordes ... what proof do you have he isn't real? tell us that, and well be interested..

  • Lordes may not see eye to eye with us. I only hope one day he discovers some truth. Even those who don't believe can be saved. God bless us all.

  • Amen!

  • @Lordes Lordes, Jesus is God, and He is the event that everybody is wayting to save these ugly life.. we're diyng Lordes! we are in the midle of hell.. nothing is what is seems, open your eyes..we are away from home, very ,very fair away...:( we understand nothing, and who want;s to understand with his mind not with his heart, will suffer on and on.. that is our fall.. to get thinking on and on.. that is hell.. Jesus is the Peace of mind, soul and heart!the Cross is the Peace!,that's the way!

  • @Lordes:

So, basically you have already made up your mind, then?

I mean, are you REALLY interested in seeking anything that might prove to you that Christianity is based on the Truth from GOD & the teachings of Jesus Christ in the Bible, and that it's not just a 'claim'?

  • Anne Rice: organized religion is dumb.

  • @Lordes: It's GOD's Truth not any 'claim.'

To clarify on topic, Anne Rice chose to leave the Catholic Church. In other words, because of the various scandals in the Church & because of her disagreement over certain social-cultural issues that the Church won't budge on, she no longer wants to be associated with Christianity as an organized religion/group/community.

In the few interviews she did, she said she was still committed to Jesus Christ, so thank God she has not completely given up.

  • @Lordes There is definitely proof for Christianity. If you are looking for 100% proof of Christianity, then that cannot be provided. That is where faith comes in. The evidence for Christianity is out there. It appears that you have chosen to decide something is fiction without doing the research to make an accurate determination. Please do the proper research and then make a decision on the matter. The amount of proof will probably surprise you. Start with The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel

  • @Lordes:

    Prove you're right.

  • I have many questions about God, and this video answered many.

Those last few words... i wanna say.... have changed my life.

    09:07

    Thank you.

  • @MrJangIes Your post made me so happy! I hope you continue in your journey with Christ and eventually talk to Him about your questions and figure out an answer together :) I love you very much! And once again, your post made me very happy! :)

  • Ann Thank you for sharing and for testifying. Do not give up persevere, eyes upon Christ not on we who need him desperately and are failing daily.

  • ... fantastic ...

  • I pray the best for Anne Rice. I think her struggles with her faith are struggles with people who have misrepresented the true love of Jesus Christ. We all struggle with this. Anne has a community praying for her safe return.

  • She's not second anymore!

  • Everything Jesus said isnt recorded but seemingly to me Jesus was the Test of men (Satan) women are toastlly different, why did Jesus hang with a so called prostitute? Does Love have a relationship to youthful Love and is youthful Love directly related to a movement of the Spirit of each person?Does God/Goddess respect the hate of the sexually/spiritually evolving people in a male dominated world that is a futile failure of a white supremist male egoistic society? What doeschildwombsexdowithGod

  • An interesting video of Anne Rice.

It's interesting to see how she seems to have very strongly held beliefs in God, through Jesus Christ here.

Later on, she would annouce she 'quit' Christianity because of the very controversial public scandals, which the Catholic Church has been involved in.

Indeed, Anne Rice is struggling with her faith, just like any other Christian. The key is never to give up. Jesus Christ never did, and neither did the Christian Saints who emulated him.

  • christanity is not about hate, I am not required to hate anyone because of christanity, hate is the total opposite of what christanity teaches. We are required to love one another, and denouncing God is the only unforgiveable sin. Because we don't agree based on scripture does not make us hate anyone. Truth is truth, fact is fact, the Bible is the word of God.

  • @kimbo5458 Denouncing God is not unforgivable. Blasphemy against the holy spirit is the only unforgivable sin.

  • @kimbo5458 Yes we know what Christianity is supposed to be about. But the reality of it is that the people of Christianity are to concerned nowadays with spreading hate, and some of the people in charge of the church a little to concerned with making money, greed is one of the 7 sins after all. In otherwords teaching to love should be Christianity's main concern, I agree with that... if only more Christians would drop all that hate, and focus on just learning to love.

  • I love this woman

  • @dmslova ... she, & He, want you to broaden and deepen that love, maybe even to Hitler or Osama or Obama or those who hate ... love them enough, not to kill them, yet maybe let them kill you, but more likely to find a shared love even our enemies have some inkling of. PS I do not equate Osama and Obama but some do, God help them, or maybe I better pray God won't :)

  • What an excellent production. Great job; wonderful interview. "I was a Christ-haunted atheist." What a blessing. I love that.

  • @CedricsMom Have you heard the news? Anne has done an about face & no longer regards herself as a Christian. I doubt she's an atheist, but I'm certain she is no longer "Christ-haunted" & realizes her brief return was an attempt to capture the lost innocence of childhood. Once you've made the decision to be a free thinker, you can't go back & accept the constraints of religious dogma based on a premise of fear & salvation. Real salvation is the fearless protest against this kind of ignorance.

  • @bondurango Yes, I did hear that news. In fact, I was looking for that story when I came across I am Second. My understanding of what she said is that she remains committed to her relationship with Christ; I think she's just had it with Christians. Can't say I blame her. Our ranks are filled with haters, self-justified ignorance, and all the rest. Christ Himself is the ultimate treasure. The rest of us? Not so much.

  • @CedricsMom If Christ is the ultimate treasure it's because he's not a literal but a literary treasure like Anne Rice fiction. Have you read "Interview With A Christian"? It's about St. Paul & Josephus & how they formed a parternship to rewrite one religion while making a new one out of the Egyptian gods Horus, Isis & Osiris like in "Queen of the Damned"? However, the difference is at the end when it turns out that the two men are actually one & the same person. It's non-fiction, of course.

  • @bondurango .. your very smart. Anne Rice can learn something from you.

  • Given her latest rejection of Christianity, hopefully, she'll re-examine history & learn how Christianity was created by the Romans to pacify the population in the aftermath of the Roman/Jewish war by separating gentiles (lower caste, Greek pagans forced into conversion) from their "blood" Jew masters. Suffice it to say, the bible is fictional history rendered as myth & used by religion as the oldest form of mind control on the planet, which no free thinker, like Anne Rice, could ever tolerate.

  • @bondurango WE ARE IN THE MATRIX.... TAKE THE BLUE PILL

  • @charbycharlie No thanks. I think that's what Ann Rice did by returning to Christianity. But she has yet to take the red pill. All that stuff about Camus, Sartre, modernity, academia, atheism, etc. was a purple pill (kind of like Anne's prose).

  • @bondurango .. holy shit... 8-O

  • As of July 28, 2010 All of your praising to 'god' is officially over. Anne announced on her facebook page, that she could not stand the hate in the christian religion against certain groups of people, and/ individuals. She got lost for a while among the delusions, as some do, but INTELLIGENT beings, are not hateful beings. And, she is not of HATE, as christianity is. She walked away from christianity, once again, realizing she was right the first time.

    PRAISE LESTAT! Welcome Home ANNE!

  • @bordercollieluv ... Well Anne still praises god and jesus. Shes not Christian any more but she still believes in God and loves him. She will continue to worship him in her own way.

  • Really, Anne? so no more great vampire books huh? is she really planning to leave us with stephenie meyer and stupid twilight? damn, this sucks.

  • @rentalcity21

As C.S. Lewis spoke so eloquently in "Mere Christianity", these types of comments amongst Christians only detract from the message of grace and salvation to the non-believer. Best to keep these to yourself than to give more reasons for "outsiders" to mock and criticize. These are "in house" discussions, NOT meant for the entire public.

God Himself is the Judge of who is saved and who is not, and from which sect or creed or canon. Leave it to Him. And leave it at that.

  • From my first read of Interview with a Vampire I knew there was a strong tug towards God, eternity and redemption. She wrote in such a way as to touch something so deep in my life.

I love this video. I love the way she speaks about her faith. I knew there was something deep in her writings, something driving me towards God, the depths of my soul responded in such a way - I just knew she understood it all.

I was thrilled to hear she had made a recommittment to Christ.

  • Give it a rest rentalcity21 - it's obvious she has a very real, authentic, and rigorous faith. There are plenty of Catholic Christians. Salvation isn't dependent upon perfect theology, which is a good thing for you as well.

  • I pray that she's not a Catholic but if she is then I pray that God in his mercy may open up her heart and other catholics heart in order to recieve his truth, repent of their disbelif in the Roman Catholic church among all sins and put their faith in Jesus Christ alone.

  • You cannot be saved through the priests the saints, Mary, good works, purgatory, praying the rossary, confirmation, infant baptisim, or any other religious traditions that the Roman Catholics practices. But you are saved by faith in Jesus Christ alone.

  • Galations 3: 22 But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.

  • This is an interesting testimony. Theres one thing though Catholics are not Christians. I am not sure if she still considers herself a "Christian Catholic" , to which there is no such thing, or not but the scriptures are clear about how to be saved.

  • Stunningly Beautiful !

  • Blessed Be, Anne Rice. I read your books and you did what was right for you. The vampire chronicles are excellent reading, even if you feel u lost your faith.

  • @Drgnlady98 Of course, Vampire Chronicles are a excellent read, pretty much essential reading if your a fan of vampires. Its got little to with the Anne Rices current beliefs, except for that blunder that was Memnoch the Devil
