great so if someone steals it they don't just get a new flash drive(probably the only reason they stole it because i doubt their gonna need it for anything else but porn) they also get a 100 dollars too and their own piece of mind.
I recently purchased a 16 gigabyte usb stick, the most amount of capacity on a usb stick I plan on purchasing is a 40 or 42 gigabyte usb stick when it becomes available.
I have a few verabtim usb flash drive memory sticks each usb device has a capacity of 8 gigabytes, and they all have security features, and are all retractable.
Wow...........nevermind he didn't even mention truecrypt
Military encryption MY ASS. I could hack that in a matter of hours. Here's what you REALLY do. You buy a cheap affordable flash drive. You use the free program "truecrypt" (googles your friend) and THAT'S what you call security.
The only way to crack the encryption that truecrypt will give you is to do a complete dump of physical memory and parse through 8 gigs of tables. And TRUST ME, your information isn't that important to a hacker
I like TrueCrypt as well - But you are a moron: One for suggesting you can crack the IronKey and Two as TrueCrypt requires the install of a driver (in kernel mode in *nix parlance) this means that you must have admin permissions on the machine you wish to access your TrueCrypted drive/file from which you are f***ed on any (public/ineternet cafe etc) machine you dont have admin rights to.
It's called linux dude. Use your usb thumb drive as a multiboot os and use the embedded driver from there chainlinked.
Second, fuck you. I have cracked their shitty encryption. Once I got the hash I'll rainbow table the fuck out of that thing. I got enough resources to do so.
hey lindick: FreeOTFE has an explorer than you can use on machines for which you dont have admin access (unlike TrueCrypt) and supports the same crypto algorithms. BTW ldick: if you dont use a secure deletion utility (e.g. one avail on portableapps rem. no admin!) (1xpass pseudorand oversrite on the files your extract out of your secure archive) your crypto isnt work shit --- TrueCrypt included as any shareware undelete can recover the unencrypted file.
these iron keys are still very expensive , i have been checking it out for a year now any other alternatives for it??i dont really need anything this advance in encryption, jus wana password protect my usb hdd so that my lil siblings dont use it
It would be a more universal solution to just buy any flash drive you want and install TrueCrypt. Free, open source military-grade encryption for any flash drive.
Yeah 64 gb on a flash drive, I have NEVER heard of that. I have seen a 16 and have heard of a 32 but never 64. The 1TB comment has to be talking about a external hard drive.
yes they do, i saw one at wal mart, it said ask for assistance or something, and before then, never have i ever heard of Tb, i was lik,e DAMN!!! yeah it said something about 64 TB
My God, how can he keep repeating that bit at the end over and over and over again on every single video and still keep it sounding fresh and find new ways to formulate the "tipically talking tech" part ?
It is not that difficult if you think about it. He is well spoken, I will give him that. But he does not read off of anything, he just speaks how he naturally would with a bit more enthusiasm. Also, no one attempt is exactly the same as the previous.
It's the repetition in anything that frightens me, not coming up with new stuff... if I had to do anything of that kind - some act that requires conscious implication, not a robotic routine like washing one's teeth - I'd be scared to death that one day I would simply cease to want it in the least bit - that it would make me sick.
On the other hand, I'm sure he's free to move to something else anytime he chooses.
My tip is to NEVER EVER keep sensative information on a usb that you are going to be taking with you on trips. No matter what the security measures are nothing is un-crackable.
No it has an automatic self-destruct feature to blow itself up into a million pieces to hide the evidence lol. =D Like those spy movies. jk but that would be awesome!
Yes but it explodes the minute someone tries hacking into it lol. I love those spy movies when cheesey stuff happens like that. =D It can't be a spy movie without everything blowing up am I right? lol jk
