90210 is only about relationships. That's pretty much all that's ever at stake. GG has a better cast, more variety, it's less predictable, and Chuck and Blair are too awesome.

GG is a Soap Opera that deals with Sex and has cussing in it, while 90210 is a Normal Teen Drama that deals with Abnormal Teen Issues (Pregnancy, Drug Use, Homosexuality, Rape and Sexual Assault).

i used to be a massive fan of gossip girl but it has got so repetitive and boring and i just find the characters of 90210 more interesting, i dont find NONE of them annoying which is saying a lot. whereas the actors on gossip girl: blake lively and leighton meester=very annoying and not at all inspiring. gossip girl makes life seem really dull and consists of even duller characters, its only highlight is the fashion..

But maybe I'm being a littie bias because I think GG is way too unrealistic, especially Blair Waldorf. Like, name me one person, fictional or factual, in modern society that can 'banish' people for an enitre city with a wave of a hand like what she did to Damien Dagaarld's sister and Jenny Humphrey last season? You Can't. Even the President don't have the power to do that.

I stopped watching 90210. Season one was horrible, and I tuned in to see what S2 would be about bc they claimed it would be different and it just sucked. I'm done with the show. The only people I rooted for anyway were Naomi/Liam.

Sorry, but Gossip Girl has better storylines, cast (acting) and they use New York City well. Like Penn Badgley [Dan] said, NYC is another character in GG.

Gossip Girl is underrated by some audiences, but with the teens it's huge. I've watched 90210 a few times and it's not as good as Gossip Girl.
