I really don't like this. Gave me a fresh/metallic vibe in the start, getting slightly sweet towards the end. It had a really synthetic feeling on my skin.

Marc, and anyone else who gives a shit, where Platinum Egoist shines is right around the 4-8 hour mark. And even 10-12 hours later it softens up even more. My wife loves smelling this on me in the morning after wearing P.E. the day before, she says it's her absolute favorite time for this frag.

Great review. However this is a very middle of the road safe scent to me, very dull, i can picture a used car salesman wearing this, similar to some cleaning products I've smelled. Issey Miyake is much better for a day scent...

Love this fragrance !!!...On me this comes off as a clean,somewhat soapy, fresh scent and I dont get much spice or woods thank goodness cuz im not big on spicy frags... only downside to this is it has a classy feel to it so I feel weird just wearing it everyday but its awesome for dates,church, or any formal event

Ive had PE for a month now and it was great at the start. Longevity was at least 8+ hours, but now I've had trouble getting more than even two. Do you know why the longevity has been so spotty? I ordered it direct from Chanel.

Ralph Lauren's Polo Sport came out in 1993 too and although you would not wear it at such formal occasions made for Egoiste, I prefer Polo Sport as a fragrance overall. But that's just my opinion. Still a good review.

Marc awesome review on Egoiste. I love it. I especially find it very sensual about 2-3 hours after. It is also when the women I've asked love it the most. So good advise when hitting the nightlife on Friday or Saturday nights, apply it about 2-3 hours before you go on the prowl...Except for you Marc, you're married now, lol.

This is my all time favorite from Chanel, by far. I can tell you, Marc, living in Florida this and it works very well in hot, humid weather. as good as any summer fragrance but yet is spicy enough to be worn in the cooler weather which is why its such a great scent for me. I think this smell is classic yet modern. A true business attire fragrance that does smell really pleasant

This was my replacement for CK Eternity which is also a great fragrance. Its one of my studs and will be used when going to a party or a date. I think its worth every penny consideing it lasts a long time.

Great review Marc, I agree I got an overpowering woodsy spicy feeling. For me Egoiste is an extremely mature fragrance, and it is so overpowering that I cannot wear this at all without getting a headache!
