@ShawnChrisLeoSmithy No, that is a Maloo. If it's has 380HP like Shane said it had, than it is most likely a Series 2 or E Series Maloo. As far as I know they haven't made a commodore with more than 360HP.

Even though, this show is amazingly funny, Im a bit sad they stage and act so much, you can clearly see the turbo meter on the dash inside the Ford Transit.. And the sound of that engin would be hard to keep as a secret, you can clearly hear that's not regular Transit engin in the original HDclip and the obvious act that's exosepipe is damaged. They ruining the fun of the show by beeing overly funny.. Top Gear has gone from beeing a proper car show to a staged brithis version of "Just for Laugh"

They could have said "look here is our XJ220 powered Transit" right at the start, but it's much more fun to do it like this! Obviously a lot on Top Gear is staged, but with 350.000.000 viewers every week, what did you expect? Every time they finish neck and neck in those car vs. public transport races for instance. But hey, if you just want a factual car show, watch Fifth Gear...

what it is it's a Jaguar XJ220 with the engine, gearbox and chassic. And the body of a ford transit. It went up the goodwood hill last year at the FoS. And the person who made this, maintains and races Group C Jaguar sport cars.

And not many people know this but the xj220 engine is the engine that was built for the mg metro 6r4 rallycar. Twr bought the engine rights and remaining engines after group b was banned and austin rover were selling the remaining stuff off. the 6r4 engine didnt have turbo chargers but was 3.0 litre n/a
