You are so right these are two women who have lived their entire life one way and now are trying to deal with another side of themselves. It is important that they both get comfortable with seeing each other as a couple not just best friends. I think if the characters kiss right now it would be a big mistake.

So many lesbian scenes or kisses are so poor, inconsistant, I much prefer the build-up tension, the looks and the longing of those two. it feeds my imagination and my emotions.
and the way that they act without holding back, making their love and attraction so real is a total gift...
Amen sister! I COMPLETELY agree with you. The build-up tension is unbearable but sooo good and exciting at the same time. I've never been so hooked on a storyline. Don't mind if they don't kiss in the near future, i'am all for the sweetness and cuteness.
Even when they were fighting, it was funny with Olivia throwing that shirt or whatever at Natalia, then Natalia throws it back at her and tells her to, "Will you calm down and Olivia tells her, "No, you calm down!"

I was disappointed there was no Otalia today but the other actors need scene time too. Especially, Reva who used to be the star of the show. As far as the kiss goes I think the writers are going back to the heyday of soaps where people take things slowly. The scenes between them are so seductive now. Whenever Olivia flirts her voice lowers and it takes on a very sexy tone.Also, watch how she seems to need to lick her fingers all the time now. The kiss is going to happen soon!
Just rewatched this tonight, along with this week others ep. and it does make sense again to me. Those babysteps are necessary, for them and for the story, it's still progressing and is more than ever a true love story...
But it's been a WEEK in Soap time since they confessed, called wedding off, hid out, had a "date" - & they're ALREADY at a weekend away. Formerly straight-identifying women need time to work up to even a kiss. It won't be just a kiss - it will be embarking on a relationship the second they take that step. I think they are doing fine. It wasn't until I read all of us gnashing teeth and groaning about how "long" this is taking that I truly understood the truth of the lesbian uhaul joke. Tee hee.
Exactly, in soapland, this has been only ONE WEEK. Nat ran away from her wedding, she just confessed her feelings to Liv and to herself, had to send her son back to the halfway house, go after Liv and convince her that she loved her, had their first date, told Frank , took liv to church and is trying to make peace with her religion, and on top go for a weekend together and end up in the same bedroom, all in a week's work! I mean, give the woman some time, my head would be spinning 2!!
Strange, but I don't feel the passion between them anymore now that they've finally admitted that they love each other. Now it seems to me that they've been there, done that and that the relationship is at its end....weird....I don't like where this is going.....and no kiss yet! UNREAL!! :o)
i feel similarly...i think it's the way natalia is being portrayed, more PTA mom than femme fatale...i'm sure this has as much to do with her pregnancy and the accompanying logistics, clothing, etc. as it does with the good-girl nature of the natalia character ...and so much of the story has been portrayed from olivia's point of view IMHO and hands down, CC is beyond amazing in her ability to deliver the goods...not to mention her sensuality overwhelms the viewer...
also, i think the constant refrain of "we're friends" and "what are we?" coming from natalia is also workin' my last nerve... and at this point there should logically be a kiss and certainly more physical contact, whether it's hand holding, embracing, simple touching...
continued --- having declared their mutual love for one another the story should be moving along a little faster..i'm fine that they haven't had sex, but i would expect more mutual sexual tension marked by kissing, furtive touching, etc..instead, most of the sexual tension is rolling off of olivia, not natalia who seems stoic and less than passionate..i get that she's scared, but how about emoting a bit more? ah, well...it's a great story..i'm sticking with it...i love these two...
heck, they could even do some near-miss kissing, like the pacemaker scene which was unbelievably hot...what i'm saying is something more to add to the sexual tension...instead, natalia is frozen in place...argh! this is as frustrating for us as it is for olivia, i'm sure LOL..

I think it was a great positive step forward, Liv has enough self worth not to just take what she can get from Nat, but is still being fair. Liv would be quite patient as long as Nat acknowledges to her and herself they are "together' a true couple.

She went to Natalia first, because she's easier to manipulate... And she tends to not get so upset with Emma. The kid has done this in the past, whenever she's in some sort of trouble, she approaches Natalia or places herself closer to Natalia, 'coz she knows Natalia will join her in the process of calming Olivia down. Emma is one smart kid!
I know soaps are as far, far way from reality as one can get, but if this relationship goes nowhere, I'm done with soaps. ALL SOAPS. Like Olivia, I don't like feeling that I'm being played with.
Okay...I know this is going to sound CRAZY...but if I had the Money to fund the continuation (after CBS lets GL go in September) of the Otalia storyline on another network I would SOOO be investing my Money in them just like I have invested my time and my support!! The convo of "can't live in limbo" ... or "stop the other person living their lives"... was a bit worrying not sure if Liv was thinking Nat is still seeing her as a best friend only so she's letting her know that can't stay like that or she will move on... hope that isn't the case and Otalia are in for the long haul
I believe that they have been thinking everything way too much but it was so good to see it took all of 2 sentences to start a fight but once they took a deep breath, had a really good time and relaxed. It was funny when Emma showed up I remembering saying to myself, "here comes the glue of the relationship". Poor Jessie though having to run around outside being so pregnant. Can never get enough of these 2.
Um.... in reality, the person named Jane would have used something called a cellphone in order to contact the parent during a private vacation. It's nice to see that the writers are finally having Olivia addressing the next step in the relationship because the viewers are going to give up at some point. I have a feeling that Natalia will chicken out when it comes down to it.

There is such a thing as over-talking something. I mean come one... how can you figure out what you are to each other until you feel it... physically. Writer backtracking. In any loving family relationship, there is a logical progression. The writers are backtracking. There was some good dialogue in spots, but mostly backtracking.
I dont mean to be nitpicky, but when Natalia talked about how she didnt like the experience of going on a field trip to the park with Rafe, that reminded me of the 2/3/09 (ice cream) episode when she said that she never got to go on any field trips with him because she was always busy. Anyway, the writers must have forgot she said that..lol
They need to kiss already or else i'm going to be dead by the time they get to it...

I was disappointed there was no Otalia today but the other actors need scene time too. Especially, Reva who used to be the star of the show. As far as the kiss goes I think the writers are going back to the heyday of soaps where people take things slowly. The scenes between them are so seductive now. Whenever Olivia flirts her voice lowers and it takes on a very sexy tone.Also, watch how she seems to need to lick her fingers all the time now. The kiss is going to happen soon!

But it's been a WEEK in Soap time since they confessed, called wedding off, hid out, had a "date" - & they're ALREADY at a weekend away. Formerly straight-identifying women need time to work up to even a kiss. It won't be just a kiss - it will be embarking on a relationship the second they take that step. I think they are doing fine. Nat ran away from her wedding, she just confessed her feelings to Liv and to herself, had to send her son back to the halfway house, go after Liv and convince her that she loved her, had their first date, told Frank , took liv to church and is trying to make peace with her religion, and on top go for a weekend together and end up in the same bedroom, all in a week's work! I mean, give the woman some time, my head would be spinning 2!!

i feel similarly...i think it's the way natalia is being portrayed, more PTA mom than femme fatale...i'm sure this has as much to do with her pregnancy and the accompanying logistics, clothing, etc. as it does with the good-girl nature of the natalia character ...and so much of the story has been portrayed from olivia's point of view IMHO and hands down, CC is beyond amazing in her ability to deliver the goods...not to mention her sensuality overwhelms the viewer...

I think it was a great positive step forward, Liv has enough self worth not to just take what she can get from Nat, but is still being fair. Liv would be quite patient as long as Nat acknowledges to her and herself they are "together' a true couple.

The kid has done this in the past, whenever she's in some sort of trouble, she approaches Natalia or places herself closer to Natalia, 'coz she knows Natalia will join her in the process of calming Olivia down.
