  • can amyone give a tutorial on how to make any kind of nautilus?

  • i love the 80' musics... great vid

  • SuperAwesomeTheNautilus*********************

  • I would give anything to drive a sub like that. I saw the website and it is AWESOME. I will build one someday even though I wouldnt know the first thing about it..Do you think ya'll could build me one if I paid for it? Pleeease :)

  • @TwinTowersForever ill might be able to build you one- whats your budget?

  • This is absolutely amazing. My brother and I dreamed of building our own Nautilus sub when we were kids and wanted to recreate the ride in our backyard. It's great to see someone did it! Well done, captain!

  • All,

If you are interested in this sort of thing, be sure to see our other video on Youtube:

    VULCANIA SUBMARINE 20,000 LEAGUES TECH

It has better quality footage of the sub proving tests, and also underwater scenes of our 20.000 Leagues Diving Suits in in Hawaii.

    VBR,

    Pat

  • You would get so many views if you were able to ram and sink maybe a small wooden rowboat. I'd watch it!

  • It could happen next time the boat is in the water, Stay tuned... ;-)

    Pat

  • Is the sub RC controlled or manned? either way, its awesome!

  • Thank you. The sub is manned. Google Pat Regan Vulcania Submarine to find our website. The whole story is there.

    VBR,

    Pat

  • Ahh...thank you. I wish I had one. As a little kid I would draw up "sketches" for a submarine by welding two metal row boats together, add ing small plexiglass windows and putting mtel plates in for ballast (like the HL Hunley) :).

  • I was also wondering, whats the top speed?

  • Cool! I thought it was going to just be one of the rides at Disneyworld.

  • I WANT ONE!!!!

  • amazing, great job.

  • Thanks everyone. Glad you liked it.

I'm refurbishing the sub these days, but mostly I'm building and diving functional replicas of the diving suits from the movie. You can check it out on my website, Vulcania Submarine.

Just Google Pat Regan, Disney Nautilus, and/or Vulcania Submarine. You'll find me. ;-)

    VBR,

    Pat

  • Very cool! I have many of the foreign models and cast toys, including the 4 foot model, but that thing is the shiznyte! Many years ago I called disney lawyers to see if I could buy one of the old ride shells. They said no. You seem to have the drive to DIY, keep it up!

  • Too COOL!

  • Wow, impressive. This is what Disney inspirations can lead to.
