I love Rowan but I can't get in to this show - it's just way too pedestrian and kind of lame. Having grown up on shows like the Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin, Bottom, and Python etc - to me, the Thin Blue Line and Are you Being Served are good examples of how some British shows were and are just as bad as their American counterparts.

Seeing him in thights in Blackadder II (in which I found him, despite the beard, wierdly attractive) I would have expected more from his legs. The Thin Blue Line was certainly not one his highlights, but after seeing a couple of reruns I found it funnier than I remembered.
