So basically, because someone claims certainty about something, regardless of their methods of attaining it, they are automatically as wrong as a religionist.

So basically what you're saying is that there is no such thing as certainty - and that you're certain of it.

If religion is the belief in contradictions, because they're contradictions, it's your approach, and not Ayn Rand's, that is identical.
