I might very well vote for him in 2012, as I kinda like what he's doing (well, except for two things - his dumping money on General Motors and requiring folks to have health insurance - the first just furthers our polluting car culture and the second is a bit silly). The real DEATH PANELS are the insurance companies that deny a person coverage or raise peoples rates because of pre-existing conditions.
Our government is a combo of capitalism and social programs that really started from FDR.
Having a public option keeps the private insurance companies more honest and drives cost down. Without a public option, cost will more than likely stay up.
Fox News, many Republican lawmakers, Lou Dobbs, Beck and Limbaugh are spreading lies about death panels.

He's a sight for sore eyes. That doesn't mean "worshipping" or anything silly like that.
I mean, during all this campaigning, I've seen so much disgust and crap from the GOP side, I just can't take it anymore. I'm dead sick and puke tired. If I hear "Russia" or "Nucular" or "you don't understand" or "seem to understand" one more time I'm going to scream.
So compared to all that crap, yes, Obama *IS* a sight for sore eyes, and a sound for sore ears.
