I was out there on June first. Not a place to go if you want to really find any gold, but it's good for testing equipment since the gold's so fine. I'd lessen the angle of your box ever so slightly and then feed it slower. Should improve your retension. Just have to trial and error. helps if you have a known quantity of gold for testing. Not trying to be rude about it, but I'm sure the area 51 thing was just some kids having fun. Campsites aren't really wild and natural either, really.
Thanks for your post. How did you do on your gold hunting at quartzville??? Also i know the area 51 thing was probally kids and was sidewalk chalk not a big deal. Just did'nt want anyone to assume we did that or it was painted on that log permenantly. Thanks..
Well, my video pretty much shows it all. Didn't get much gold out of there but I sure did have a great time. I don't think there's really a lot of gold at all anymore on the creek, but given a few days, I think we could have done a lot better once we figured out the machinery and such, plus we got down to bedrock at the last second before leaving. More gold in the last hour than the first 3 days, I'd say. There was a HUGE boulder down on the bedrock that I would have loved to get underneath.
