you were great. and maybe you you can try to shorten his stride by slowing him down. dont alway canter the jumps either try them at trot too. I dont want to sound like a know it all just trying to be helpful.
I would definitely use a ground rail at the bottom of the jump. It helps the horse see the spot on the ground where the jump is, instead of just a hovering pole. If he is still getting to deep, set the ground line further back. It works well with Snap, hope it helps Peanuts!

oh i know about the arching back. but trust me bareback its so much harder lol. i pretty much throw my whole bodyinto him at the jump to make him jump it. its the onyl way that works every time.

ummm put 2 poles out nd try agust his stride between lyk count his normal strides eg take 1 away at a time also parelli helps evrythink lol

Your heels are amazing! Try slowing him down maybe or use a stiding pole infront of the jump
