Alex, as angry and mistrusting of the complex as you are, I'm amazed it took you this long to come to this conclusion. The 360 was a piece of shit when it came out and you knew it was unlikely to improve. Especially with all the time that's passed. Microsoft is a SOFTWARE company that can barely put out software without similar problems. Why would hardware be any better?
Live may be better, but the PS3 is a better all around platform.
I never trusted Microsoft. I wrote an essay in college about what Monopolistic twits they were, violating laws in haphazard fashion and getting away with it. But I gave them ONE MORE CHANCE. They said the red-ring problem had been resolved with the Elite. So I went out and paid $450 for the piece of shit, since I do like LIVE. I chose poorly. I won't make the same mistake again. Sadly, the PS3 controller is GARBAGE while the 360 is perfect. MS got the controller right...everything else WRONG!
It's a face plate. I think I got it free with a pre-order of Eternal Sonata -- or whatever that game was called. Liked the look of it, so kept it on there ever since.
This isn't 2006 dude. The PS3 has just a good a line up as the 360 now. You just sound like a bit of a fanboy, I mean, you must be a fanboy to have the will power to put up with 11 broken consoles.

Now, I don't even remember what I said, outside of "Live is better than anything PS3 has, but Live is useless when the 360 breaks and the 360 breaks constantly." I hate the 360 with a passion. It's been a week and they haven't even sent my shipping label yet. In the meantime, I'm paying for the LIVE service I CAN'T FUCKING USE!
Those are all temporary fixes. A friend used the x-clamp thing to 'fix' his when it red-ringed and it lasted about 6 months - extending the life of his Xbox to 17 months! Another friend taped nickels or something to chips to cool them. That fix worked about the same amount of time - 5 months and his 360 broke again. Now both of their warranties are void, cuz they opened their consoles, so they're fucked. The 360's quality is SHIT. If you don't already own one, I'd recommend keeping it that way.

Was the previous 10 breaks all the same repair from MS? What i mean is have u ever bought a new console or do u keep getting the same one repaired. Cause 11 times, It's like microsoft has a grudge against you.
I've actually bought and/or exchanged 7 or 8 of them. I think MS just has a grudge against humanity. The first Xbox worked really well, so I bought the 360 at launch. I won't buy the next Xbox console unless someone other than MS manufactures it like happened with the original Xbox. MS can't do hardware and isn't much better at software, truth be told.

I owned one at launch & traded it for the damn 360 Elite you see in the video above. It was a 60 gig with full back-compat, too. I hate me!
