I also agree that Zicam does indeed reduce the duration of cold symptoms.
That is not the issue here. As we all know since the 1930s that zinc gluconate when applied to the nasal passage does prevent the rhino virus associated with colds. But they also found in the 30s that 1 in 10 people experienced a loss of the sense of smell out of that percentage over 60 percent experienced total loss.
The FDA requested Matrixx to include warnings of this effect after they had received numerous complaints from individuals who had experienced loss of smell. The consumer has a right to know what effects they could experience when using the product. That way they could weigh the risk from the benefit. I use the lozenges myself.

Can you understand the difference between "2-3 years ago" and June 2009?
You mean when they paid off the people who filed lawsuits in 2006. That they told Mr Limbaugh about those 340 people but Limbaugh still took them as clients because of course the money was more important than whether people were injured. And of course more people would suffer the same consequences by Mr Limbaugh's promoting their product why should he care. Luckily the FDA stepped in and they no longer use Zinc sprayed up someones nose.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!! WTH IS GOING ON!?

@ImWilson1,
Well I called Zicam and they've done a lot of testing too which they are waiting for the FDA to review.
(Regardless if you watch my vid on Zicam the cold remedy mouth spray works just as well. .. . . )

Stop and think for a second. Here you have a man that knew that people were losing their sense of smell from using this product.
And he still promoted the product on his show.
Now that is total disrespect for his audience.

his honesty is going down the toilet faster than an unwanted pregnancy on prom night.
