  • Awesome.

  • Good cover, You would think they were cousins.....

  • Good version but doesn't touch The Band's orig.

  • Great version. Way back ca.1970, Emperor Rosco on BBC Radio 1 did a splice of this and the Band's original - best of both, totally seemless. I taped it on reel to reel, but the machine's bust. Anybody else have it? I hear Rosco's DJ'ing in LA.......

  • This is every bit as good as the version by The Band. I don't know much about this group, but if the rest if their material is as good as this, they must have been some outfit.

  • amazing

  • great cover

  • One of the best covers of this song Ive ever heard!!!! ROCK ON!

  • is the bass player the guy who played in humble pie to?

  • @FiloGraziani Yes, Greg Ridley, on bass in this video, was in both Spooky Tooth and Humble Pie.

  • Spooky Tooth covering the Band's, "The Weight."

  • @stratcries Smith wrote this one.

  • @markebelmark Robbie Robertson wrote "The Weight" while he was a member of The Band. The released it as a single and then it appeared on "Music From Big Pink". The Smith cover version was used in the film Easy Rider because of contractual issues. The two versions are more or less identical apart from the vocals. I prefer The Bands version as different members take a verse each, but the Smith version is pretty good.

  • Spooky Tooth or the Band?
