This is not a GTV6 you hear but a 6C3000 CM on the testcircuit of Balocco. One of the best sounding cars ever made !!! One of the most beautiful as well, especially the Colli coupé version ... Thanks for sharing this sound with us !
The exhaust sound comes from an Alfa 8C, about 25 years ago a dutch car magazine called Autoselect published a single containing the very same soundtrack!!
I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old DOHC Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree

No no, try comparing this to a Volkswagen Golf R32 VR6, sounds very similar. Or if it's not a 6-banger, then I would say V12, but it sure is not a V8.

Il suono in questione non é quello della GTV 6 ma della 3000CM degli anni 50!! Era un 6 cilindri in linea bialbero di 3500cc a 6 carburatori Weber... È stato preso dall'LP SINFONIA ALFA.

Its a V6, i have a 90 its 2.5L V6 and sounds very similar. Beith that the GTV 2.5L version and the 90 share the same motors... Love that sound.
