Sorry man, that's simply not true. I learned first to finger walk. After playing for about 6 months I started to learn to slap and pop. About two months ago I finally caved and decided to learn to pick just to have one more technique.

Even though I've been finger picking for over two years, I'm faster with the pick. Not a lot but then, I've only been at it for a little while.

Eventually I'll work on the three-finger trill technique and maybe my fingers will catch up. But who's to say?
