If the babysitter had first merely connected the laptop to the TV with an HDMI cable, she could not only watch Netflix streamed movies, but TV shows and movies at Hulu as well. In point of fact, she could watch ANY Internet Video when the TV acts as a giant monitor for the laptop.
Consumers are discovering, almost by accident, that laptops and flat-panel TVs have common connection sockets. With a remote mouse and keyboard it provides a comfortable lean-back viewing experience.
