I have a question about the color chip at 3:28 and what it does. I film on the Logitech Quickcam Pro also, and I'm trying to learn how to use it properly. P.S. great job on the pikachu mosaic behind the screen at 3:44

i have problems with my lighting....i follow excactly the instructions and i just have some flickers in my videos and i dont know why... any ideas to fix it?

1) Always, always, ALWAYS film at night or in a pitch dark room with only your studio lamps on. Avoid energy saver bulbs as they get brighter over time and cause flicker problems.

2) Wear a dark t-shirt when filming as a light colored top can reflect light rays and every time you shift position, the light will change.

3) All camera setting on manual and when you move an item, wait a second or 2 for the light to re-adjust.

can StopMotionMaker export to 1080p HD .avi? im currently using AnimatorDV, but i just take the pics with it, i never export the file as .avi cause its not HD. i animate using WMM at 15fps. & does it have mouth sync? cause i use some intense mouth sycing techniques

@sumkid101 I think it does, but I only bother with 720p to edit with for various reasons. Our Quickcam Pro 9000 only shoots 1600x900 (so it's not at 1080p). I still shoot at 1600x900 as it gives me a little panning options with Final Cut. The .avi from SMM is 1600x900 and turned into 720p in Final Cut.

I do all lip movements and audio syncing in post (with Final Cut).

I would consider moving up to 1080p if my camera was at that quality, but it's not.

@thefourmonkeys2 oh ok thanks. personally, i prefer 720 because it plays smoother (for me anyways) and 1080p is hard to edit (it freezes alot). its funny, i just got the logitech c905 (pro 9000's successor) and it shoots in 720p, but can render in 1080p. kinda weird...haha. looks like i need a mac ;p

@sumkid101 We have two Macs that are about 10 years old, one of them we use for our audio recording. We also have two newer Macbooks, one has the Leopard operating system and the other has Snow Leopard. Honestly any and all Macs are good so you would be happy with whatever you get. I really want to get the Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000. As soon as I have laptop access, I'm gonna move from a digitial Canon to the Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000.

I have that exact, same camera and the quality that I put it in is pretty nice. I have only two lamps though, (one white lamp and one Navy colored lamp). The computer monitor that I have is an ACER monitor and a dell server (That turns it on for me). Finally I have two CA speakers for sound. The only type of microphone I use a Logitech USB Microphone and it works quiet nicely.
