Hey, I want to check in with you guys. I'm going to find out pretty soon if I can use the Morpheus Downtune pedal with this amp. I'll keep you posted as to the results. Oh...I do know that you can slave in a Line 6 Pod through the back of this amp, though. The Line 6 Pod board becomes your pre-amp / controls basically. It's pretty cool.
P.S. I get a good THROWDOWN guitar sound out of those settings, too...a lot like the Vendetta album to me. If I play "speak the truth," it sounds about spot on.
Okay...my sound...I set both channels the same because for whatever reason I can just hear a slight difference if you don't have them both set the same...maybe just me...haha. Drive: 8 Amp: CALIF. Mode: HI-GAIN Speaker: U.S. Low: 3 Mid: 3 High: 8 -1/2 Level: 8 FX # 98 FX greenlight is on (or in - however you read it) Presence: 0 (seriously set at zero - because the more presence gets static-like) Volume: ...set to your liking, of course I play a Washburn with double humbuckers.
I have fixed my SQUEAL with this amp. It came via trial and error. I bought the Digitech XMM Metal Master pedal to try and get a better sound and a noise gate because these amps have absolutely NO noisegate. Unfortunately like Line 6 amps they don't like pedals introduced to them either - sounds like crap. BUT...the pedal has a chip in it that models half-stacks even if it's turned off. So...I ran the in/out of the pedal through the FX loop in back...pedal off but plugged in...wa-laa...fixed
@DuanePCraig ....to further explain...yes...I can crank this SOB to any level....though, at level 4, it is a beast. I use very close to your posted settings, too. I'll write down and post my exact settings later. The sound I get is comparable to Teenage Bottlerocket.
I'm getting ready to get that same amp I currently have 2 LX210 Vampires. I had the same prob with the noise I turned the cab modeling off ran it clean and jus used a stompbox for my distortion. Either way I still like playing through them despite the quirks.
Hey just curious i have the same amp GMX Series amp but its a GMX112, im not sure if its because of the amp itself or the sound through the camera but when i change my settings to yours it doesn't have shit for bass =P
Yeah I have this same exact amp. also. This amplifiers deosn't let me play live shows because there's this huge high pitch wistle like feedback that bursts out of the speakers in even a sixteenth note rest. It pisses me off and not even an ISP Decimator sound reducer pedal (Wich I bought for the problem hoping it would reduce it) couldn't even work. It's really dissapointing. Just hoping, any of you guys might have any tips?
@Ibanezguy17 Yeah man, I had the exact same issue with mine. I wasn't sure if it was the circuitry, the speakers, or exactly what. But all I know is that I have the exact same issue, those speakers hum and squeal like crazy.
@XMatthewXmassacreX Do you still have it though? Because if you found a away to atleast reduce it or get rid of it man, I would gladly listen to you and what you have to say dude.
@Ibanezguy17 Well like, I hadn't used it in a while..and the strange thing is that it kinda just stopped on its own. But, I tried reducing the gain a little bit before. It kinda worked, but then it just came right back.
@XMatthewXmassacreX Wow. I wish I had the time to try it, since i'm in the point in wich I would do anything for it. But since I'm having a lot of rehearsals for the band, and i'm recently getting involved in the puertorrican metal scene, then it's gonna hard. But thanks anyway dude. Nice metal tone you got I'm gonna try it out and see what I can do with it.
@XMatthewXmassacreX I am planing to buy new amp, and i like your demo here, this amp sounds crazy and metalish! One thing that scares me are speakers: Are they really loud with that ''squealing'' and ''humming''?
@hitandrundude44 Yeah, it really is a nice amp. I guess it just wasn't the amp for me, I outgrew it. But for the money and wattage, you really can't get much better than this thing. I liked the fact that it was analog modeling instead of Digital.
@hitandrundude44 Well, I've upgraded to tube amps. Theres so much more volume and tone, I love them. I like alot of Marshall amps (My main choice), but I also Like Hughes & Kettner, Mesa Boogie, ENGL, Peavey, VHT, Orange, Madison, and SOME Randall. But those are also very expensive amps. If you're looking for a good solid state, try looking into the Vox VT series, Marshall MG series (My main Choice), Orange crush, Roland Cube, Line 6 spider, or a Randall. Try and stay away from Crate though.
@AttentionAllMartyrs Why don't you just look at the previous comments I've posted that have my settings instead of bitching? Or perhaps common sense is a skill that you lack?
@xT1Kx Hey i noticed you posted this about 4 months ago but i noticed nobody replied to your comment =P, you asked if this amp was louded enough to jam with a drummer, i have the GMX112 and its plenty loud as long as your using a noise gate to stop backfeed when not playing, but yeah, its easily gets loud enough
I've been looking at this amp for quite awhile now, seems perfect for what I need, love that sound you got or of it! I'd like to ask the settings you have on it to get this sound, thanks alot!
you guys who have the squealing problem, it is probably the foot switch input screw grounding on the amp. Check all of your inputs and make sure they are tight or take it to someone who can tighten them for you. It is a ground issue.
Alright, Ive had this amp for about a year really like it, play it with my grunge distortion pedal get really nice tone, but for awhile now whenever I put my settings to a really heavy metal feel with presence almost maxed/maxed and level maxed and then when I go to turn my volume past 4 or 5 it squeals like crazy like a really like pitch, and I dont know how to fix it, this is using channel 2, channel I am quite positive does it aswell, anyone know what the problem is?
I've also had the same exact problem...I have NO idea whats wrong with it. Ever since this started happening I've rendered it basically useless for my band practice and have since then replaced it with a reliable Marshall stack.
yeah Idk, I mean Its good if I kinda keep the song moving and add my own little slides/fills in between the stops, so that it doesn't but its a pain in the ass, when I stop a song I have to turn the amp off and find out what were playing next.
you're using way too much presence! i put mine on 3 to give it a warmer tone. try this setting in this order british amp, high gain, and us cab/speaker .. bass:5 mids:1.5 high:5... I hate distortion pedals period and now I'm starting to hate solid states, tube is best.
what are your settings? Try this in this order british amp, high gain, and us cab/speaker .. bass:5 mids:1.5 high:5 and you can get a good tone for metallica.
Hey bro's, I'm from Mexico and I am trying to figure out what amp is better to play black metal...I am confuse...could you help me out!!!...I have 300 bucks...do you think that the Behringer V-Tone GMX212 is the best choice for that budget??...I know that the marshall amps are the best, but I don`t have enough money...(sorry for my english!!!)....
i have a fender DSP65 and my friend has a line six Spider III 75 watt i think....anyways i am completely dissapointed in the amount of buzzing and frail, blocked sound you know?
Is there a distortion pedal plugged in here or is this just the amp? I just ordered the Behringer UM300 stomp box. That plus this would be SOOO BRUTAL!!!
Yes..I've had an issue with the amp getting a terrible screeching sound as the volume is increased with the gain maxed..However even as the gain is decreased I still have the screech..Im unhappy with this amp.
i have the same problem i have a lespaul and i thought it was my guitar and i was thinking of mutting emgs or maby some semour duncans in it but i guess my amp is just a tool. damn you behringer......other than that its a badass amp.
The only difference Im guessing is not as much bass response because Instead of Twelves its tens..You might notice the speakers "farting out" more at higher volumes than the Twelves, and you'll have less power, I believe the 210 is only about 60 watts or so..instead of 120 for the 212 combo..your best bet is to save up and buy a nice tube 212 combo, I have the Bugera 333XL 212 Combo and I have to say its the best tube combo out there for 650 bucks.
i disagree that you say the spider 3's sound worse, i used to own a gmx212 went thru a few others & now have the spider 3 150 combo & its the best amp ive owned granted i shouldve got the head version. dont get me wrong the gmx is badass but the spider 3 has a lot more options & an overall better sound. (just my opinion, i dont want anyone gettin pissed because i disagree)
I was wondering 2 things, If this is the 60X2 des that mean itsounds like a 120 wat? and is this better than the line 6 spider 3 75 wat, because i was planing on getting that but after watching this im in doubt
hahaha yes, it is 120w, and dont get a line 6 spider III over 15w, they sound horrible, possibly worst kinda of amp i have ever played, get this amp, or a roland cube 60-80w, i have the 30x version and its amazing.
It's a stereo combo which means that each speaker gets 60 watts, making it a 120 watt combo amp. I recommend this amp for volume because at higher volumes it still keeps its tone. However if you're just planning on a nice bedroom amp I would go for the line 6
Is this amp good for a beginner.I'm still learning my chords and basics ect.I have a crate xt10 watt amp that i hate sounds terrible. This is the exact sound i'm looking for in an amp.I also have a Dean EVO/XM guitar getting a new one soon maybe a Squier bullet strat like the sound from it ect.Or a Dean MLX any suggestions will be spending about 5-6 hundred for amp and guitar and mostly leaning twards getting this amp. thanks for any info
hay mate, just like to say, nice vid, also some advice be careful arround the pots cos they have a tendency to snap off :( i've lost both FX pots and the presence one. otherwise a fantastic amp.
cool man because i use a me-50 and i used it with a b52 head and that fucker was jumping. i used a randall and crate combo amps to power my craTE 4-12 cab and they dont jump at all. but i just want a head for the light weight. thats what i was wondering about.
hey man sounds bad but how would you think this thing would sound with a guitar heavy distortion pedal? like with no mids just highs and lows with all the gain
cool deal. didnt mean to sound uninformed--knew the wattage was different between the 210 and 212 heh. nice to know/read that both should be fairly similar. thanks again man
HELP, i got a epi les paul standard and i need a new amp my crate has went to crap, does this have alot of gain or what, is it good for metal(my speakers are broken cant listen to the video). SOMEONE HELP
This has loads of gain.. im not sure if its better than your crate, it depends what size and model your crate is. This is a 2-12" speaker 120 watt amplifier.
I set mine with the lows on 8 1/2, mids on 1, high on 10, presence on 5, Hi gain, USA, and British settings and i also use a zakk wylde overdrive and it sounds great dude...good playin' too dude keep it up.
you should try using setting 27 with 5 low 4 mid and 6 high for chorus effect and same settings but setting 36 for rhythm its what i use check out my bc rich videos ignore the ibanez unless u love the sound of the rg7321 which i do =] but that one has different settings
i would say go for it dude this thing is loud as hell i own one myself i mean it kinda has an electric sound to it but i have my amp set to master volume 2 and its already loud enough to hear it from across the house if i turn it up to 10 it will shake the windows i recommend this amp 100% if on a budget
anytime i actually enjoy my behringer but ive been thinking of selling mine cuz i just am looking for a bit more of a raw sound i mean mines only missing the 2 knobs for effect and effect level but u can still turn them lol they broke off while moving and the input jack just needs replacing but it still works the threads on it r just stripped damn plastic threads
Hahah i Was almost noticing that, but you play quite good^^ I play the same i think... but normally i play fast.. so yeah.. sounds little darker (H) Wich i like:D !
But great man!
Thanks for the info and sht. :D Really App it aswell.. I think im gonna buy it... first i thought about the onespeaker.. the: BEHRINGER V-TONE GMX112 ... but maybe ill save 40 more euro's hahaha :D
i have that same amp i have mine set about the same v tone 212 amp

you guys who have the squealing problem, it is probably the foot switch input screw grounding on the amp. Check all of your inputs and make sure they are tight or take it to someone who can tighten them for you. It is a ground issue.

XMatthewXmassacreX 2 years ago
And about other comments saying its not a good amplifier to mix with effects...Is that true? Because I sort of play Morello style
TJS678 2 years ago
I've only used a few pedals but as far as what I've experienced it does fine with pedals.
XMatthewXmassacreX 2 years ago
i disagree that you say the spider 3's sound worse, i used to own a gmx212 went thru a few others & now have the spider 3 150 combo & its the best amp ive owned granted i shouldve got the head version. dont get me wrong the gmx is badass but the spider 3 has a lot more options & an overall better sound. (just my opinion, i dont want anyone gettin pissed because i disagree)
BHB01 2 years ago
No you're actually very true,
I've also played some spiders including the new spider 4 series and I like the versatility of the spiders more.
However if you have the extra money, you can never go wrong with a good tube amp.
or get the best of both worlds and get the spider valve?
XMatthewXmassacreX 2 years ago
hey due again, do you think this has better tone than a crate 65 watt, cause im now in a dilema between these two amps
play3apesta 3 years ago
If your looking at a crate flexwave..then yes this has better tone, and its louder.
XMatthewXmassacreX 3 years ago
I was wondering 2 things, If this is the 60X2 des that mean itsounds like a 120 wat? and is this better than the line 6 spider 3 75 wat, because i was planing on getting that but after watching this im in doubt
play3apesta 3 years ago
hahaha yes, it is 120w, and dont get a line 6 spider III over 15w, they sound horrible, possibly worst kinda of amp i have ever played, get this amp, or a roland cube 60-80w, i have the 30x version and its amazing.
tango616 3 years ago
It means its 2X60.
It's a stereo combo which means that each speaker gets 60 watts, making it a 120 watt combo amp. I recommend this amp for volume because at higher volumes it still keeps its tone. However if you're just planning on a nice bedroom amp I would go for the line 6
XMatthewXmassacreX 2 years ago
great!! i have a behringer gx 212 cool too.

you may need to mess with your eq a bit depending on your room sound, acoustics, etc.
XMatthewXmassacreX 3 years ago

Is this amp good for a beginner.I'm still learning my chords and basics ect.I have a crate xt10 watt amp that i hate sounds terrible. This is the exact sound i'm looking for in an amp.I also have a Dean EVO/XM guitar getting a new one soon maybe a Squier bullet strat like the sound from it ect.Or a Dean MLX any suggestions will be spending about 5-6 hundred for amp and guitar and mostly leaning twards getting this amp. thanks for any info
damageplan67 3 years ago
Yeah its a good beginner amp..if your price range is 5-6 hundred you can't go wrong with a nice Marshall haze 40 watt all tube combo.
XMatthewXmassacreX 2 years ago
nice playing and nice tone! I don't know why this amp get s so much crap-it's a direct copy of the tech 21 sansamp/trademark setup. Same thing.
scorpguitar79 3 years ago
Yeah I got a chance to play the trademark and oh my god it sounds amazing.
XMatthewXmassacreX 3 years ago
hay mate, just like to say, nice vid, also some advice be careful arround the pots cos they have a tendency to snap off :( i've lost both FX pots and the presence one. otherwise a fantastic amp.
chrlieward92 3 years ago
cool man because i use a me-50 and i used it with a b52 head and that fucker was jumping. i used a randall and crate combo amps to power my craTE 4-12 cab and they dont jump at all. but i just want a head for the light weight. thats what i was wondering about.
6Blasphemous6 3 years ago
hey man sounds bad but how would you think this thing would sound with a guitar heavy distortion pedal? like with no mids just highs and lows with all the gain
6Blasphemous6 3 years ago
I guess it all depends on the pedal you use..This thing accepts pedals very well, I now run a Ds-1 through it and it sounds incredible.
XMatthewXmassacreX 3 years ago
have you jammed on the 210 model at all? and what would you consider the pros and cons of the Behringer Vtone?
thanks for your time matt
LxEninja 3 years ago
No sorry I haven't played the 210 model but im guessing its still pretty loud.
Its only 60 watts instead of the 120 you have here.
Sound quality, distortion, effects and whatnot should still be very close to the 212 model.
XMatthewXmassacreX 3 years ago
cool deal. didnt mean to sound uninformed--knew the wattage was different between the 210 and 212 heh. nice to know/read that both should be fairly similar. thanks again man

Thanks for the settings they helped alot, i changed a little but my amp sounds pretty nice now
fireisveryfun 3 years ago
Not a problem.
I hate how everyone says this amp is horrible,
I think it sounds amazing for the price range its in.
XMatthewXmassacreX 3 years ago
Yah i mean everyone things that its horrible but for a 260 dollar electric amplifier its pretty good.
fireisveryfun 3 years ago
so what guitar are you using with this amp?
chopskater 3 years ago
Im using an epiphone g400 with emg pickups.
XMatthewXmassacreX 3 years ago
HELP, i got a epi les paul standard and i need a new amp my crate has went to crap, does this have alot of gain or what, is it good for metal(my speakers are broken cant listen to the video). SOMEONE HELP
ScubaSteve431 3 years ago
This has loads of gain.. im not sure if its better than your crate, it depends what size and model your crate is. This is a 2-12" speaker 120 watt amplifier.
XMatthewXmassacreX 3 years ago
I set mine with the lows on 8 1/2, mids on 1, high on 10, presence on 5, Hi gain, USA, and British settings and i also use a zakk wylde overdrive and it sounds great dude...good playin' too dude keep it up.
guitarlife21 3 years ago
you should try using setting 27 with 5 low 4 mid and 6 high for chorus effect and same settings but setting 36 for rhythm its what i use check out my bc rich videos ignore the ibanez unless u love the sound of the rg7321 which i do =] but that one has different settings
diaryofthedead 3 years ago
im thinking about getting this. im in a band and need a budget amp. but i need 120-150 watts. is this gona be a good one for me?
givemeurtots 3 years ago
i would say go for it dude this thing is loud as hell i own one myself i mean it kinda has an electric sound to it but i have my amp set to master volume 2 and its already loud enough to hear it from across the house if i turn it up to 10 it will shake the windows i recommend this amp 100% if on a budget
diaryofthedead 3 years ago
cool. ill look into it more
givemeurtots 3 years ago
anytime i actually enjoy my behringer but ive been thinking of selling mine cuz i just am looking for a bit more of a raw sound i mean mines only missing the 2 knobs for effect and effect level but u can still turn them lol they broke off while moving and the input jack just needs replacing but it still works the threads on it r just stripped damn plastic threads
diaryofthedead 3 years ago
Yeah I had to replace my input jack with a locking one.
XMatthewXmassacreX 3 years ago
yeah the closest place to me that carries one for myne is in downtown nashville fuckin 45 min drive
diaryofthedead 3 years ago
This thing will definitely keep up with the band.
XMatthewXmassacreX 3 years ago
what kind of setings you have on your amp ?
like a drive, amp, mode, spekaer, low, mid, high, level, effect, presence ?
TheDeadStare666 3 years ago
Nice job!!!
I just got that amp today (:
What were the settings that you are using? I'd like to get that same sound :D
CheeeCake94 3 years ago
does the pedal it comes with have distortion or not? because i was going ot buy a Boss ML-2 if it didnt
wildchild15109 3 years ago
The pedal has an effect engage button and a channel switch,
so you'll just have to program channel 2 for disitortion
XMatthewXmassacreX 3 years ago
thanks man i'm lookn' forward ta gettin' it
1976hiboy 3 years ago
Good choice mate,
you'll love it.
XMatthewXmassacreX 3 years ago
is it the same as gmx 110 model?
1976hiboy 3 years ago
Almost,
It has two twelve inch speakers instead of the ten inch,
and it has 120 watts instead of 60.
XMatthewXmassacreX 3 years ago
i could play metallica on it right
1976hiboy 3 years ago
Definitely.
XMatthewXmassacreX 3 years ago

It has 99 different effects, and all sound pretty good.
And you have a wide range of reverbs.
And the best part is its a stereo combo,
so all your effects sounds really lifelike.
