Someone once said Cannabis will never be legal until the average family thinks that they will be better protected by the taxation and legalization of Cannabis then it's prohibition.

I agree completely, that is why I say the most important FACT which I can attest to, is that it is easier for kids to get illicit drugs then alcohol.

im sorry for you not understanding the issue, as there are many like you. what were trying to do is seperate pot from the rest of the illicit drugs so that they can actually be effectivly controlled. it would also cripple mexican drug kingpins that are causing death and destruction on a greater scale than the media is covering. one word:beheadings, sounds a little like terrorists. the cost of control, not only fiscal,but the cost to society when its supposed to be protecting is backwards.

Traders considered tobacco and Alcohol luxury and they had Cannabis. People smoked Cannabis, made sails, rope and other products. Cannabis was there from the VERY beginning around the world, a time when tobacco was absent, strong alcohol was absent, there was mostly Cannabis and everyone smoked it. Then came trade ships, then came rum/alcohol, tobacco and all the other trade goods. Alcohol made it, Tobacco made it, Cannabis died a unjustified death.. Its time for Cannabis again! Everywhere :)
