i love this. i have PTSD and am in the process of trying to get a service dog. Winston seems like an amazing dog, and i really hope i can get a dog as good as him
This was a very well done video. What I like best about it is that it VERY clearly shows actual TASKS that were trained to mitigate your disability. It is a very obvious cue/trigger and response action. I will be referencing this video to show people the difference between a real PSD and the dogs that are really just cuddly pets being passed off as PSD's. "Fake" service dogs are a real problem with all types of service dogs, but much more so with PSD's, and the fakers are causing real problems.
I'm in the last week of training Rocko my border collie/corgi mix to pass the psychdog.org test. He navigates crowds for me, applies pressure to my legs when I start tapping them (out of anxiety) and he is also the best hugger, cuddler and sleep aid i've ever had. PSDs rule!
Hi, I was wondering how you trained Winston to interrupt you while you were banging your arm on your chair/forehead. How did you get him to place your front paws across your arm to block your arm from moving?
Winston is an owner trained service dog. he's truly an angel and a clown all wrapped up in one. Sometimes people dont understand that sometimes the unconditional love and affect that they give us is greater than an medicine, and family member. Yes we love our family but sometimes just having someone who completely excepts us and stands by us can be our saving grace. you are so blessed to have him. best wishes my friend.
What a great partner! thanks for showing folks this demonstration as sometimes it's hard for them to understand. I'd be lost without my Phoebe girl! Speaking of, did you read that Denver refused to issue a permit to a disabled person because they were using a pit bull type dog as a service dog? Also, a person in Aurora, CO had their pittie service dog taken by ACO, now they've sent it away and trying to sell house because they won't allow a trained service dog! I love pitties clowning to cheer!

Hi lady. I was wanting to know where and how you got your dog. I have a few mental issues myself and I was wanting one of these dogs.

I am so jealous of this lady. I have a few brain problems and I kill for one of these dogs.
