It's funny how just reading the title, it sounds like something that shouldn't work, but given that both movies have jungle settings, it worked out better than I thought it would. I mean, even the lighting matches (most of the time). It falls apart a bit at the end (the battering ram bit's a tad rough), but the reaction shots of Wicket and the Predator are priceless.

I'm not denying it was weird, and would have been better if it was wookiees and not ewoks. However, their size would have made radar or other forms of scouting somewhat difficult, considering the amount of small wildlife in a forest. Beyond that, if you watch when they launch the attack, the troopers all scatter and there seems to be no leadership

There's also a morale and command factor, if you're ambushed and panicked there's very little hope of an organised defence. But still, ewoks would get smashed by a predator, he's invisible, uses the forest better than they can, is unbeatable in close combat and has a plasma cannon on his shoulder, no contest
