The mig-21 it a 3º generation fighter, the F-18 is a 4 generation fighter, but against a su-30 the F-18 doesn´t stand a chance.

This pilot, Navy Cmdr. Nick Mongillo was in Scott Speicher's squadron, VF-81 in Desert Storm. Wonder if he knows what really happened to Speicher? Was Speicher shot down by a Mig-25?

@billfish6244 I wouldnt be surprised because he was in an f-18. but if he was in an f-14, there is no way he could get shot down.

In Yogoslavia and Iraq NATO-forces more or less destroyed enemy planes on their pits...

There has been quite a bit of air to air combat since Vietnam. The US alone has been involved in A to A combat in the 80's with Libya and in the 90's in the Gulf war quite a few Iraqi aircraft were shot down. The losses the US sustained were by surface to air missles and flak. The Israelis have been involved in even more combat, particularly in the 1982 war with Syria. They shot down 80 Syrian aircraft to no losses from other aircraft. Plenty of other combat too.

A sorte dos Russos é de todos que enfrentaram os E.U.A é que o F-22 Raptor nunca foi usado em combate, a unica desvantagm desse caça é que os E.U.A não vendem ele pra ninguém.

during the war in the early 90's the hornet pilot and i think another hornet pilot were warned that there were two mig-21s and the time between the warning and when the migs were shot down was 45 seconds and that was in a hornet imagine if he was in a super hornet

Os Norte Americanos se vangloriam de terem destruidos os MIGS 21 com facilidade, quero ver enfrentarem MIGS mais novos como os M25, M29 ... Os MIGS 21 são antigos e absoletos, comparar o F18 com um MIG 21 é igual a comparar um MIG moderno com um F4

Não,o MiG-29 Iraquiano é o que os russos chamam de "monkey model",não vem com as características do MiG-29A russo,e mesmo assim,o MiG-29A é inferior ao F-18C pra uma comparação mais justa,só do MiG-29S pra cima!
