  • I also hear that different frequencies have been used for what we call notes... for example I consider A to be a certain pitch, but I hear that the what some have considered 'A" is different in different regions and over time.... Maybe you and others use a different "a" than I do? best,Rose

  • Nice fiddling there! I have been learning a little old time myself, and had a question. I tend to play this tune in standard and have hear other versions as well as your own where I sound totally off tune! Is it the effect of recording equipment, or are you in another tuning?

  • My cousin sent this video to me because my Grandmammy and Grandaddy were married on the 8th of January. He was a fiddle player and played it to her on his fiddle every anniversary.

  • I really like the scratchiness. Makes me think of some real old-timer playing.

  • You have the style right! This must've been what it was like to sit around the fireplace back in 18__ and hear someone take out the fiddle or the banjo and play the latest tune, or the tune everyone loved!

  • good job but soom rosin wouldnt hurt

  • Yeah, and it'd be nice to be able to see the fingering

  • Thats sounds rele awesome but ya prob need a little more rosin...it sounds a little to scratchy for fiddle music...keep playin!!!!

  • WOW~ I love it!

You just keep getting better and better~!

I'm gonna go look for the banjo version now...

    Thanks for sharing...

  • GREAT JOB!

  • Great Job on this tune! I realy like 8th of January

  • Wow, nice job! Instrument country is the only kind I can stand cause its the only kind that focuses on the REAL talent.. The Musicians!

  • I have no clue about fiddle playing, but you rock my sprock! :)

  • yup, get back from the neck and you'll find that a lot of that "squawkiness" goes away (it's caused by the bow sliding up and down the strings instead of across them perpendicularly). other'n that I'm quite impressed by your skill on multiple instruments.

  • i love ur music bro, keep it up

  • great ! u are very talented !

i like to listen to ..

    are u playin in a band ?

would like to see a vlog or something like that..

just wanna know why, when and how u have started such crazy shit ;)

  • As a violin player who has been playing for.. too long, I have to say that you have some work to do. I like the mood of the song but the tone is really lacking. i suggest you play closer to the bridge for a more vibrant tone. And try to make your left wrist straight and relaxed when holding the fiddle for best posture. Relax your bowing arm and let your arm weight do the work.

  • Seconded. Way too close to the neck.

  • you are so cute = ) awesome fiddling!

  • will you smile in you videos?

  • nice!
