Yes, I KNOW all of that. I have played and nearly BEATEN Ninja Gaiden I on the NES, beat the original Xbox one twice, beat Dragon Sword a bajillion times, and want to play NGII and Shadow.The thing is, you were saying he was the only IMPRESSIVE thing in all of DOA. Don't forget about the other entities as well.They may not be as good as he is, but they're all still probably FAR superior to the regular human fighters.And I don't get why people say "Ryu use you sword!" It's an h2h ONLY tournament!

Actually, Spartans only look big because of the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor they wear. And the reason they're 'stronger' is because they were genetically modified. However, Spartans weren't trained to deal with martial artists, only having basic CQC (Close Quarter Combat) taught to them.

Ryu Hayabusa is the greatest Ninja ever in a Video Game.He Takes a Plane and Cuts it in half.That is fucking badass.While using a Fireball that puts the Hadoken to shame.He is God and it's shame that DOA5 might not exist but hopefully the Ninja Gaiden series will continue and the DOA series will live on Forever.

Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden is the same Ryu Hayabusa on DOA. Ninja Gaiden story comes before DOA, why do you think Ayane and Kasumi are seen in the Ninja Gaiden 2 ? Because they are also a part of the Dead or Alive series later on. And yes DOA has defenetly a story, why do you think Hayabusa is againgst these airforces? I hate that Ryu is in these games. He's such a monster in Ninja Gaiden..up there with the all-time powerful game characters such as Kratos, and Dante. @thedeman87 hate it or not, he's in them because he's a classic tecmo character. and in my opinion i wouldn't say Kratos was an "all-time powerful" character, really. anybody in DOA can potentially beat Ryu because it's a straight up fight, and that's all there is to it. what he can do in the Ninja Gaiden games and the DOA games have nothing to do with each other.

@arashi86 That is the most obvious reply. Of course that's why he's in. And obviously they have nothing to do with each other because if Ryu fought in DoA like he does in NG he'd kill them all. And Kratos is definitely one of the most powerful. He killed an entire mythology of super-powerful deities off as well as other warriors entrenched within greek mythology. Not only did he do it, but unlike other videogame characters, he outmatched all of them he straight up put the kick ass on them.

@thedeman87 Unfortunately, he isn't the supreme ninja in DOA, because there are other skilled ones.... although Hayabusa IS the best character in "Ninja Gaiden"... that doesn't mean the other characters in DOA wouldn't be an amazing character in that game as well. :) I think you should quit focusing how strong Hayabusa is, and recognize WHY he was brought into the DOA tournament... a tournament for the best martial artists. :P

Love Ryu but I honestly think Hiryu would win. His fighting skill is completely on par with Ryu's.He dosent even need the help of his Ouroboros or robotic animal sidekicks to overcome challenges equivalent or greater than the ones Ryu faces as demonstrated in Strider 2 for Ps1. He dosent use or need ninpo,shuriken, or any other coventional Ninja weapon.All he needs is his plasma sword called a "cypher" and his general fighting skill to win.Hiryu FTW!!!!!

Let's say for arguments sake, their skills are even. Strider maybe a hair faster, but Ryu is stronger. If Strider's speed is a 10, Ryu's is 9. If Ryu's power is a 10, Strider's is an 8 if that. Hayabusa is 5'10" and Strider is about 5'7". Typically, if two men have the same set of skills, the bigger one wins.

Speed = Strider Hiryu

Power = Ryu Hayabusa

X-Factor (Ninpo) = Ryu Hayabusa

Weapon Skills = Ryu Hayabusa

I think Ryu Hayabusa could handle Strider and his machines!!!!

I completely dissagree with you.

One Strider is a ninja from the distanace future, while Ryu is one from present day and one would assume that weapons and spells would be enchanced and perfected in Strider's generation. Measuring up their size and speed based on apperances rather than facts is not right. You have to be logical about these things. I know about the fiends and such but Strider is in a whole different class and time and shouldn't be compared to Ryu.

First off, ninjas are trained in stealth, this is superhero action, not stealth. Secondly, they don't use katanas because their too long.
