Yes i build all my own rigs, the cost, hmm can be iffy since i just upgraded not too long ago to Quad-Core and new Vid card and more mem, just depends but roughly 400-800 bux

That's way more than enuff, u should have enuff to get a good gaming case, good quad core cpu, at least 4 gigz of gaming memory (Kingston) nice power supply 1000watts at least, Fast Sata Harddrive I like western digital raptor series, and the most important thing is the VIDEO Card, Nvidia is the way to go! GTX200 Seriies!
